Oni-Goroshi in Current League - are You gonna farm it or drop it?

IIRC, some of the animation examples in the lead up involved Hillock.

Please do ask Charan, and let us know.

There is one thing I've been wondering about for ages, and I've seen the question asked, but not answered. How does the "one per character" rule work if I get the Uber Hillock to spawn, but crash or am forced to leave before I obtain Oni-Goroshi? When is it decided I can't get another Uber Hillock: on UH instance creation, on UH kill, or when I come close to his range? Is there any chance this question will be answered?

You don't even imagine how much harm you've caused. I'm not sure I'll live long enough to finish "The Bother". You're one of my murderers. You will never get my forgiveness unless you make up for what you've done.

My guesses would be when you actually pick up the sword or when uber hillock dies.

I'm definitely going to got one of these one way or another at some point during the league. I might do some blood and sand stuff with it... seems like a fun idea. I won't farm it with my leaguestarter though. I got... other plans for that one. Heck, I might even go full Dracula style with perforate (blood stance) and impale.
I make dumb builds, therefore I am.
I have similar guesses, but they're just guesses. :(

I may start the league with Oni-Goroshi farmers, as I don't have any idea what to play, and Twilight Strand may be the only thing doable on my pc currently.

Whenever I decide to go with melee, I always end up choosing Cleave, but I read it didn't get any buffs, or got a nerf... I didn't verify that yet, may try Cleave anyway.

And then I am going to drop OG, so the thread name doesn't bother me each time I read it. :|

I'd be willing to bet the Do-Not-Spawn-Any-More-UH would be raised the moment you picked up the sword. The game isn't stable enough to support the flag depending on his spawning or even his death.

Again, not sure, but I'd be genuinely disappointed in the devs if it were anything but when you obtain that for which you've so ardently struggled.

Another gambler. Can't you ask the devs? Pleeeaseee? :P

(it seems most likely, yeah)

Oh, I did not mean asking *right now*. I also have no idea about your communication with them, but the question has been bothering me since ages, and you're the person who could get it answered. (:

I tend to play cleave more than any other skill. I love it.

I did a cursory analysis of cleave and I can say it's looking pretty spicy. The patch notes are confusing, but there might be plenty of reason to do a cleave build.

I can't tell if the changes to cyclone will make cyclone a strictly better choice, though. It really could happen. You don't have to stop moving to cyclone, and impale will pay back fully in moments, where not so much with cleave. The first hit from cyclone is half damage, but it hits 200% faster now. The way added damage works should favor cleave heavily, though. We will see.

cleave gained a tremendous amount of power this patch, the notes don't highlight it quite enough. That's really what I'm trying to say here.

It's still possible that cleave has better numbers but it doesn't have the benefit of constant movement. If that's the case I would actually play cleave.

One thing that some people aren't connecting:

Cleave gets basically a 3rd weapon's worth of base damage that's then multiplied by 1.7. Cyclone gets about two thirds of that, then only multiplied by 0.54.

What I'm hoping is that cleave's numbers are much higher than cyclone's, and that its downsides are lower range & holding still while attacking.

We'll see.

edit: I'll be leveling both and if cleave can compete we'll run cleave.

I assume *anyone* in this thread is more about personal preference rather than strict meta power. Cyclone is a no-brainer this time. But if Cleave is ChanBalam's drug of choice, then he's in for pretty much a 100% positive experience I think. Depending on how easily he adapts to the animation cancelling...
I've never liked cyclone or whirling blades. Cleave just feels like a warrior Frazetta style. Swords or Axes, slice and dice. I'm never in that much of hurry and don't mind banging away on a boss for 3 minutes or more. I'm hoping that the new 2H weapons will make those viable. Tonight I;m thinking slayer.

Animation canceling is an enigma to me now. I can't imagine its usefulness. I haven't seen how you actually do it anywhere. Maybe I can ignore it?
