Experience, efficiency and a little bit of luck, although the latter will equal out if you play enough. With the current low value of chaos orbs, 110c = 1ex, I personally would not bother doing the chaos recipe.

Experience helps immensely because you get a feeling for how much items are worth so you don't have to check poe.trade for every rare you find. This helps with what it all comes down to: efficiency. My biggest tip if you want to increase your gain/hour is doing the following:
1. Pick a map with a good layout that you can clear quickly. It does not have to be high tier.
2. Take 10-30 of that map and use an alchemy orb on all of them. Reroll those you can not run (e.g. elemental reflect)
3. Pick a loot filter that does not show too much, but also not too little. You don't want to have to leave the map to clear your inventory.
4. Run all 10-30 maps back to back. Dump everything you find into a stash tab (you can sell 6 socket items for jewellers directly of course to save some space).
5. Sort through your dump tab. It helps if you have multiple sell tabs for different price tiers so you don't have to click as much, for example 2c, 5c, 10c, 15c, 20c.

What this tries to achieve is force you to spend as little time in your hideout between maps as possible. Not everyone likes going super tryhard all the time, but for me personally I enjoy being very efficient and seeing the currency pile up.

If those are the only affixes you have 1 free suffix and 2 free prefixes. If you slam it there is a high chance you get a crap suffix and that would suck. I'd rather craft crit multi (suffix) and call it a day. You could slam a prefix after crafting, but you would have to get pretty lucky to hit spell damage or high +adds X to spells. I think that ex is better spent elsewhere.

EDIT: In terms of your other gear, the cast speed ring is fine, but the rest of the rares can be improved. I'd start with getting a Stygian Vise belt with high life and two good resist rolls. Put a decent abyss jewel into it. After that, get an amulet with good life and high crit multi or even a shaped amulet, but those are expensive. You can then craft an elder ring with warlord's mark on hit or buy one. All of this will ruin your resists, so get a new helmet and boots which fixes those. You could even buy a white helmet with a BV duration enchant and craft it yourself (4ex+, but this will allow you to drop the second duration cluster) or go for a Starkonja's, which will solve any Dex issues you might have.
Also your flasks are shitty ;)

We convert 100% of our damage to elemental, so no. You will oneshot yourself.

Thanks for some really nice input! I guess I'll just craft multi crit for now and wait until later in the league for slam. It would be wonderful tho to hit a third extra damage as element ;)

I do have three Starkonja's, I just have to fix the resist first. But I'll will start by getting a good stygian > amulet > boots for resist and then check if I can switch to Starkonja's.

So what are the end game options for this character?

I haven't layed for a while, is atlas completion + elder square farming the norm or what is a better strategy than that for us?

Just want to say this build was probably the best league starters i have played yet...i got to level 80 with garbage self found gear / tabula and random gems with easy

still rocking tabula and few garbage items that need replacing, everything still melts with one shot, ran t10 corrupt 8 mod maps with easy and few T11's only bosses feel quite tanky, saving up for inpulsa 5 link and few rares + gems should take me to 90 wit easy i would imagine

i got a real problem to generate frenzy charge with the herald of ice setup is this normal ?

i can get 1 charge each map

What is the best modes for watchers eye? Do we need taht at all?

Would an essence worm with wrath in it do anything for this build?
