Thx! I could also stay true to this build and try how much I will be able to accomplish until the end of League.

I am leveling Dark Pact, Wither, Skeletons, Despair and Dark Pact Support Gems at the Moment but maybe I should skip that as I am short on Gem Slots due to that ;)

Are there any good Uniques for this build with MS other than boots? More MS would also help as a defence.

If I can cap resist I will use Devoto's Devotion.

3) ARC is the best in this league.

You should try to avoid using "best" because he might read and nerf it to the ground next league
(j/k hehe)

Francly speaking, I think they will and rightly so.
I just hope not to the ground :P

It's REALLY nice to see arc have it's moment though. I've always loved the skill just hated the output. I'm very happy it's performing now.

Doesn't the use of ele focus in your build keep Arc from shocking? Would think it would be better to substitute increase crit strikes or something in its place so you can shock.

Read FAQ

I did read it. Arc has an inherit chance to shock and with conductivity there is additional chance to shock. Wouldnt that mean we would be shocking bosses still without using EF? Because its % chance to shock its outside critical shocks. Is EF used because each arc hit is small so the % damage increase is small?

With the shock changes and what you are saying, combined with arc doing a lot more damage this league, there is a possibility. It might possibly be argued to use crit damage/inc crit instead.

I'm still in the process of finishing quality and hitting 20 on my gems, I can personally test it out at some point. It's just controlled and ele focus are MORE damage multipliers. It's very hard to beat that. A small shock wouldn't be enough to overtake it, but if we get bigger shocks it may just do that.

I do have to say, I personally enjoy on crit builds using inc crit/multi gems when mapping. It just feels smoother typically.

It's not a matter of chance to shock or critical hit (100% chance to shock), it's a matter of damage dealt.

From wiki:
"The base duration of shock is 2 seconds and the damage increase scales relative to the amount of Lightning damage dealt to the enemy's maximum life. [...] Hits below the minimum threshold of 1% effect are discarded, effectively requiring a hit of 0.2% enemy maximum life."

--- Some numbers ---
EF setup deal an average hit of: 226 667

Let's replace EF with Power Charge On Critical (20/20). This is the best gem after EF.

Let's take Shaper's life: 20 190 261

We deal an average hit of: 188 852 (first hit)
this damage is 0.94% of shaper's life and will apply a shock of 7% increased damage (considered that ARC 20/20 has a +29% effect of shock and from tree +10% = +39% effect).

following hits will be: (188 852)+7% = 202 071
this damage is 1% of shaper's life and will still apply a shock of 7%.

Results:
EF = 226 667
PCoC + shock = 202 071

Vs "weaker" guardians (9 537 659 life) the DPS is quite the same of EF.

Current gear @ 91. Amazing build! Working on farming the 2x Shimmeron wands. Hoping to kill Shaper and Red Elder for my first time with this build.
