I feel like my question is flat out silly but I would like to ask...
How is the progression in the mines with this build?

Apologies in advance if I'm one of the "broken record" types. And thank you for your response!

Build looks fabulous and I like that you went with Ice Golem instead of the norm of Flame Golems! :)

There are some records in "Video" section related to mines :)

I'm at 420 depth currently and the things are pretty smooth. Golems tends to deal enough DPS, and it's still possible to survive a few occasional hits. Mobs tends do not attack the character, and the main source of incoming damage therefore is random spells or projectiles. The only limiting factor is sulfite at this point.

I think its possible to reach something like ~550 depth with the current setup. Then the golems will start to suffer. Some adjustments would required for this case, like running Warlord Mark for endurance charges (+45% physical mitigation) and 2% life leech for minions. There are a lot of possible adjustments, generally, so the build is not even close to its limits.

I love the sound of that! I guess I have something to do very soon! :) Thanks again for sharing!
How do you feel about running this with stone golems? Since you're using the melee abilities of the ice golems, I imagine the playstyle would be really similar, but stone golems have the advantage of having 3 skills that can be supported by similar supports, rather than just 2 for ice golem (with the projectile attack being the outlier).

Stone golems also have taunt, which can help with survivability. Here's my take on it, using a lot of mechanics you used for your build. Curious to know what you think.

I don't tested them too much to make a conclusion. They tends to be a little slower compared to Ice ones due to additional recovery time after their Roll ability. It may be negotiated by Primordial Chain amulet however, just some tests required.

Ice barrage is not completely useless, tbh. It's helpful for closed cages and unpassable terrains where some targets is not close enough. It deals enough damage to start explosions from Profane Bloom, which kill everything. So at least for some maps it's nice to have.

UPD: for the PoB link you provided:
It's looks pretty tanky in this setup! 6 harmonies is a bit low I'd say, and 3% unreserved life may be critical in some cases (small mobs hits chaos a little, so it may be not enough HP to survive their hits). But overall, it's very tanky and should have much less problems on bosses.

I'm hoping that between overflowing chalice and poacher's mark, there should be enough flask charges to have coruscating elixir up all the time. Against bosses it wouldn't work so well but I mostly wanted to do delves anyways. Maybe I'll give it a try later once I have enough currency for the jewels. I don't think lightning/flame are suited to the layout of delves, so maybe it can finally be stone golem's time to shine.

Actually, it's more than enough flask charges even without Overflowing Chalice. Flasks are constant in delves. Probably Chalice will required a bit later though.
Looks interesting. And what about shaper/uberatziri/uberelder?

I've killed only Phoenix and Minotaur so far, due to extensive mapping/delving. Generaly, endgame content is possible but tricky. Golems are not immune to elemental damage and tends to die time to time. For bosses, better variant exist - 3.4 Primordial Chain Ice Golems. This one is more optimized for crowd-like things.
Hi,

This is my first summoner build and loving it so far.
Made some changes to it:

- Arc seems kinda pointless. I use the default attack to destroy occasional barrels. EDIT: --> could fit an increased duration to IC and Phase run this way.

- Been dying alot due the low ES pool. Maxed bated breath was very nice with the enhanced recharge rate, but lacked res. Also couldnt find cheap ES boots (sigh) so decided to go Sin trek & crystal belt.
- Still on a budget so fitted in a lvl 23 purity of ice corrupted amulet.
--> that gave me the idea to change the helmet to a proper bone helmet.
- Bone helmet with reduced mana reserved and +2 minions
--> now had an empty slot in the shield, so put the discpline there and changed the 3 golems from weapon to the helmet with minion dmg/ minion life

I think I can hit 6k ES in a while :)) I think that'll give enough strength to T16

Hope this gives some ideas to you guys.

It's used to proc Elemental Equilibrium, that grants -50% Cold Resistance for the target. Since we run Hatred, it gives lot of additional DPS on bosses.

For other points, yeah, EHP may be raised this way by sacrificing some auras. Nice to know you've optimized it :)
Ok that explains the EE too :D thx
