3.6 Synthesis Arc/Freezing Pulse Totems, easy Shaperkills with less than 1-2 Ex investment!
So, I'm kind of curious. If we wanted to turn this from a budget style build to full blown madness, what items would we be looking for?

Interesting take on the whole totem thing, I never would have thought about using minion damage buffs to buff totems with that new node.
I have not read every page (too lazy to sift through 22 pages) so sorry if this is a repeat, but I have one suggestion. If you get good a good jewel I think taking the jewel node next to celestial judgement will give both more damage and more eHP rather than taking Redemption and the small damage node next to it which is honestly a fairly small overall dps increase. Can easily swap into it later on if you get good enough jewels. I also noticed you lack Searing Bond totem in your build, it's worth throwing in as a single socket just for having an extra totem up for your buffs from the heirophant buffs. How do you feel about clear mind vs clarity? Obviously early on you're likely to use clarity since you won't have a CM jewel, and I know later on it's a dps increase, but is the loss of mana regen worth it in a MoM build? CM doesn't give nearly as much as clarity does. Also, do you feel ~7k eHP is enough? The dps is obviously great but I tend to get wary with anything under ~8k eHP. How has it been feeling for you? I also ask because your tree is right next to Sanctity and Deep Wisdom but you choose not to take either one. Do they really not benefit you? @Raelena Void Battery, and likely finding a way to get the power node to the right of coldhearted calculation. VB's are really expensive this league with the nerf to shimmerons but they add another 400-600k dps total on their own. Last edited by sutasafaia on Sep 7, 2018, 2:06:43 AM

" Pretty sure OP made this as a starter guide with low investment, not an end-game guide. There are multiple minor changes like 2-socket jewels that can be made if you have the currency to afford it. I am using 1 rare jewel I found plus an abyss I just bought for belt. If you need Searing Bond, you are lacking damage or it is just for bosses. I'll play around with it this weekend to see if there is much difference in Delves, but I don't think I would ever use it in mapping aside from higher tier bosses. But with totem and player fragility, time will probably be better spent dodging and re-casting dead totems. If the bosses look at the totems long enough, they die. Clear Mind, imo, is another low budget damage jewel. A double or triple damage + HP jewel can squeak out higher, but at more currency cost. Could even go farther with swapping Worm for an Opal and use Wrath like normal, but that also drops eHP by another 1k (minus Opal HP difference). Low eHP is normal for me since the last I played totems. Totems are taking hits for us. We just need to survive 1-2 hits until we can re-cast totems and recover. Honestly the most infuriating thing about the low eHP is getting nuked in darkness because flares are dumb. But for up to t12 mapping (haven't gotten higher drops still), and escort Delves.. works fine. Just spam flasks, put out 1 totem, walk to it, put out next totem, and repeat. If totem fires, I know something is over there and I shuffle re-cast. Currently at 3.4k HP and 2k mana. |

Searing Bond is used purely for the hp/mp regen bonus from Ritual of Awakening and for spamming before boss fights to get your charges up. It's a very cheap totem so you can always enter fights with maxed charges, and dropping one every now and then is nice for the extra regeneration for having an extra totem. You're right, it's basically never used for anything outside of bosses for a free boost.
And yea, as a low budget started it's really good. I'm wondering what other little tweaks could be made for end-game outside of that jewel near celestial judgement. I don't see any other easy to reach jewel sockets but I'm sure there's other small tweaks besides jewels that could be made. I'm no expert though, I tend to make bad trees on my own. Missing things like Sanctity, Faith and Steel, and Deep Wisdom when you're so close to them drive me nuts but I don't see too many places to take points away from in order to get them outside of those two points for Redemption. Hello, Why you have in passive tree preks for more then one minions?

|
" u mean Lord of the Dead? the +1 to zoms and skells is irrelevant, its the minions deal more damage, combined with Spiritual Aid that makes this node relevant.
Great build you put together. Thanks !
Today i tryed Fossilcraft for the first time and am happy with the result.
" gj on that helmet! fossil crafting is so strong atm!
Hi there! Nice build, easy leveling, destoy everything, thx a lot.
My suggestions about crafting Body armour: It's hard to roll shaper mods with alterations (confirmed by myself) so I think crafting with fossils is good. So my plan is: Use 'Prime Alchemical Resonator' with Pristine Fossil (More life)+Lucent Fossil (More mana)+Aetheric Fossil(More caster)+any fossil u whant (resistance for example). So if it's work we have 100% chance to roll 'Spells have +#% to Critical Strike Chance' cause it's only one caster mod on shaped body armour. Then we have good chance to roll 'Recover #% of Maximum Mana on Kill' and '#% of Damage is taken from Mana before Life'. I dont know, but poedb tell than Mana before life can be suffix too. So if we have 3 suffix with good tier of crits we can lock them with metacraft - remove crafted mana and add life and other things with ex. One thing thing destroyiing my one resonator crafting is life regeneration mod and +mana mod. What u think about that? PS:sry for my bad english :( Last edited by Shurikaslp on Sep 7, 2018, 11:31:10 AM

" Ahh.. I mean, I guess that works? This goes back to a play style choice. I would not add a slot for that purpose since I try to stay clear away from damage. If you could somehow make the searing bond do cold and freeze though, that could be pretty good for defensive purposes. Anything that gets close to you for SB damage have a high chance to get frozen to give you a chance to re-position? Sign me up! There are quite a few takes and adaptations to make this build very expensive, but better. Midget is using 6L Soul Mantle with a curse reflect shield. Someone else was using Choir of Storms for ele dmg/crit. I just upgraded amulet last night for a cheap rare to make crit more stabilized. I'm sure there is some kind of absurd shaped staff that could be used with Kaom's if you want a tankier build. It just depends on how you want to play and how much you're willing to invest. I don't have time today to review those nodes, but I'll take a look tomorrow. Feel free to bounce other ideas with me in this thread or in-game, I'm always up for learning new ways to optimize in PoE. |
