I've actually never tried multistrike support in this build since I've always thought that Feeding Frenzy was mandatory thing but wow.. replaced Feeding Frenzy with Multistrike support and PoB combined dps goes from ~1,8 million to ~2,5 million per sentinel. Five sentinels so ~3,5 million dps improvement from one gem switch.

Sentinels aren't as aggressive as with Feeding Frenzy but their behavior didn't change that much and they definitely do tons of more dps and bosses melt even quicker than before. For mapping, feeding frenzy might even be slightly better but I don't have white sockets on my armor so need to stick with one or another. Definitely multistrike from now on, thanks for the tip.

The build is good, can be tanky and bosses are no problem. Simulacrum wave 20 can be quite a problem though. All the other things are a joke. Thanks

Gz, but i dont understand why you not using spectres, they are op! I know AG is very good too but in this build i dont see how can fit if theres nothing to help with fortify with kingmaker as you dont have minions to be supported with. Sentinels life gets restored while you hit so them cant die then fortify isnt a point for them. And you are suposed to get fortify using whirling blades. The good point i see is the culling+50% crit, but still you missing damage from 3 op spectres that can deal maybe the same ammount or more damage? Its worth?

So far HoP is so much fun. Running 9 Sentinels. Even before the added aura using mana reduction rings damage was good on T16. Finished 2/4 deadly encounter, just waiting on RNG to give me the other 2.

What I haven't liked is the Whirling blades setup, I switched to flame dash with second wind, this makes the skill spammable once leveled. With all the screen clutter, my survivability went way up not getting caught on walls or diving through damage. I'm not missing the Fortification buff.

The damage is so high I'm even debating switching to a shield, lol.

Instead of impale I went with minion sustain and the double damage nodes from cluster. This allows a 35% chance for my minions to do double damage. And they are always at max health.

I'm also stacking fire nodes off small clusters. When I have purity of fire leveled I'll have 87% fire resist and then pickup a cheap watchers with Phys to fire damage taken.

I specced into the golem nodes and took the large cluster for golems for the 140% buff to golems. Overall I'm sitting at 800h/s buffed.

My biggest gripe (and I'm working on building my health pool) is the one shot from you delerium explosions you can't see, my hp just isn't large enough yet...

I have tried to min-max as much as possible, currently at ~8.4m dps per sentinel, ~5.9K life, 530 life regen (mainly from bottled faith).

I'm able to push this to 9m dps per sentinel, ~5.3K life.

Unfortunately, PoB does not acccount for (i) enemies take -9% physical damage mod (helmet) and (ii) 10% damage from bottled faith. It is likely 1 sentinel is doing over ~10m shaper dps (with 2 curses & vaal haste)

Do note that there are certain items that are ridiculously hard to obtain because no one is trying to double corrupt it (i.e. The Coming Calamity - +2 duration skill gem).

I just wanna say great addition to the guide I mean it seems really good.

My question to you is how do I afford a calamity with 4 red sockets lol, other then that can I have something else almost as good (im thinking about the mana reserved and 4 red sockets here) thats abit of a pain any suggestions here?

Also war banner or dread banner and if mana is a problem do I need enlighten lvl4 or?

And should I get doom cast when I can for 2 curses when we get hit and the jewels or is all that when you really have the currency?

I'm not sure how spectres can deal any decent damage considering most of the gear has no mininon mods and we have no way to boost spectres gem level to make them better + we already have a way of generating frenzy and other charges so I never considered it. It feels cluncky on this build.
GA gem is lvl 29 with all the mods from Cold Iron Point and other things, so it has some life + I'm using helm with -9% to physical damage reduction against hits (although I'm not sure it works) and gloves with vulnerability on hit on my GA which is a nice damage boost. Also my connection is garbage so I'd rather always have a fortify than do zoom-zoom through mobs and suddenly I'm rolled back. So it's also a preference thingy.
I also realized with GA, you can put awakened curse on hit with something like assassins mark to whirling blades to boost the damage even more.

I'd recommend going for a Warlord Armor with +1 to active skills rolled on it and get your reduction elsewhere, besides the obvious calamity doesn't offer much defensively.

The Coming Calamity (4 red sockets) -- I suggest to purchase a 3R1G2B for less than 1 exa, 6L. Then work your way towards Jun and get white sockets for it.

War Banner -- because my impale is 100% with 3 medium cluster jewels.

Mana issue -- so far I have no problem with mana. But if you mean mana reservation, you can opt for Lvl 3 Enlighten and take the 4% reduced mana reservation node in the skill tree.

2 Curses - I'm not really sure about doom cast to be honest. I'm using punishment because I do dive through mobs and when I get hit, it procs enfeeble and punishment at the same time. I haven't explored any other curses that might be better.

Side note for 2 Curses, you can also opt out of it if you intend to go for a Warlord-based armour with +1 Phys & + additional curse. Or ideally, +1 Phys + 1 Str + additional curse.

I went for The Coming Calamity because it was a budget way to get high dps and I was hungry for even more dps which led me to double-corrupt several pieces for +2 duration skill gem.

Path:
Bashtart's build (spent 1-2exa) --> as shown in first page
my budget build (less than 5exa) --> 4m dps, 9 sentinel, 6k life
expensive build (10-20exa) --> 7m dps, 11 sentinel, 5.5k life
Min-Max build (20-70exa) --> 8.3m - 9m dps, 11 sentinel, 5.9k life

Some news from the other side of the build (compared to Kendricklzb). I'm still running without Calamity but a Shaper +1 Chest.

In difference to his build my build doesn't feel like a glasscanon anymore and I'm on my way to 100. Having 7.2k hp up to 1k hps (on consecrated ground, 600 before and 1800 in burst phases).
For additional defence one of my Spectres is a "They of Tul" which creates a big ground effect in which I get 20% spell and attack dodge as well as 15% damage reduction. He casts it very often.

Two other spectres are:
* Arena Master for a regularly attack and movement speed buff
* Stoneskin Flayer just for the tankines (to be replaced later)

Damage-wise I habe 9 Sentinels with 8 millionen persistent dps each. With corpses around (Flesh Offering) and a recent kill this spikes up to 9.4 millionen dps. If including Vaal Haste you could reach spikes of 10.6 millionen dps.

One big difference is probably that I still only use Blade Vortex to procc my Sentinels. I try to keep the damage of it at a decent level. Currently it has 260k dps with 10 stacks and is supported by culling strikes which guarantees more killing blows while mapping. Even in Delirium Maps and/or Simulacrum Wave 20 this is working. In Simulacrum 20 you also could start with Vaal Blade Vortex. Generating more Sentinels after the first is more easy due to Culling Strike!
To be able to maintain this damage level you have to allocate Spiritual Aid in the tree. Furthermore I got +2 Duration Crusader gloves.

Lately I forgot to activate HoP and still phased him really fast to his last phase only by using a 10 stack BV.

For damage on my minions I recently switched to a three-curse setup. Enfeeble for defence + vulnerability for offence (not big but is available as implicit) on gloves. My third curse is applied with a level 5 awakenend curse on hit gem and whirling blades. It is Punishment a big damage boost for bossing scenarios or when whirling trough mobs while mapping.

I'm also a big supporter of whirling blades. It is by far my new favourite movemenetskill beside the dash skills. Applying Fortify and Punishment is a nice addition. I move through maps mostly with this skill and also use it when fighting mob groups in high delirium maps to avoid projectiles or hit other enemies with my 10 stack BV.
Some people say it feels clunky but with enough attack speed it is really great! You have to allocate Spiritual Command and possibly use Faster Attacks like I'm doing but it could also work without Faster Attacks.

Playstyle-wise I currently can rush through more or less any map getting up to 100 simulacrum splinters if the circumstances are good. Most bosses are reached in the delirium and even Drox dies under delirium influence in less than 2 seconds (not counting his transformation phase). UE phases more or less instant. Sirus AW8 mostly dies in the starting position in his last phase.
You must always consider that this takes only so "long" because the sentinels have to be created first. Would be a lot faster if you would start with all sentinels out at the beginning.

* Flame Dash is linked with a 1/0 Arcane Surge to emulate "Arcane Surge on Hit" from the ring
* Awakened Curse on Hits (level 5) additional Curse is not calculated by PoB and added to boots
* There are one notables allocated via Thread of Hope (Spiritual Aid) and one small "Aura Area of Effect"-travel node skipped in the Sovereignty-cluster -> 0 passive points more allocated than shown

Recently switched to a new build and using this one for mostly for boss killing. Only switched because I feel like I'm more or less out of upgrade-options.

Still interested in suggestions for improvement and other ideas. I like Kendricklzbs glasscanon-variation but prfer to be able to stay alive a little bit more :)
