[3.17] Wallach's Hierophant Freezing Pulse Totems (No Further Updates)

I was lucky (for once) this league and hit my 6L in about 40 fusings, yay.

That made a nice difference but the rest of my gear is pretty trash tier at the moment. Sold my 5L for 25c last night, probably a bit cheap but gotta help the totem bros :P

I am so Dex starved though that I've stopped my green gems around level 12. I'll probably avoid upgrades while I clear all my white maps to fill out my atlas because by then stuff will have dropped in price, and hey, maybe I'll score some lucky drops.

I noticed in the videos the mapping tempo is to basically stutter step and drop 2 totems at a time to keep curses running. Is that basically right?

You can take the 30 dex node in skill tree its definetly worth the dex gem level for 1 point, until you figure where else to get dex.

I feel like mapping tempo depends on your damage/tier(+mods) of the map, if you dont need to stop and your totems are 1/2 shotting mobs, there is no reason to use curses and you can blast through map in no time, on the other hand if your totems are struggling with mobs for a couple of seconds, you might aswell curse, but since delirium is pretty punishing, always keep moving.

So after reading the last few replys, i was gonna ask the same questions. How to further improve my dps and which route to take to upgrade.

Gems are about to relevel to 20/20. Still need enchanted boots. Went with 20% FP speed on helmet for a start.
I get arcane surge from cluster jewel when placing a totem (how does arcane surge work anyway with different sources of AS? Does a better one not replace it if another source still active ?)
Clearing is great, but my single target feels really low. About to hit lvl 93 and doing t14-16. Some map bosses and conquerors take ages to kill, dont wanna think about awakener yet.

do I understand this right that for this build is mandatory 6l SOUL MANTLE and ATZIRI REFLECTION ?

I mean for 6l soul mantle in the end 6l is requested usually for all builds but Atziri reflection ... that is luxury item ... and reading comments above you need even more ?

The shield is NOT mandatory, I don't know where you got that info from.
It's part of the high budget version this build. I've only had the shield for 1 league (Legion) and easily did all of Blight and Metamorph leagues without it.

Is the build viable for all content and end-game bosses (including Awakener 8) without it? Or will I have to buy it in order to get to that point?

Atziri is not required but you'll want it in time anyway, 20ex is easy to come by if you play enough.

For single damage VAAL RF is the key i one shot conqueror atm with it and i'm not optimised at all. The right flask are important too. 50% increase damage on chill for glove is also super cheap for a great boost. When you have the currency Added cold damage awaken maxed give you another +1 cold gem and it's a good 20% dps boost (i forgot to include it in the progression in a earlier post). For dex take the 30 dex nodes or put 2 pts to get precision (20dex and dps boost) for the moment

The build optimized with atziri (maybe even without) is good to clear all content in the game EZ (I remember clearing T16 ex without atziri while grinding last season, you can grind 20ex pretty fast). It was my 2nd league in metamorph and i did all bosses, all maps and made 500+ex running blighted map almost afk, it's a very good build and you can always improve it up to around 300ex invest but the scaling is great.

Last 2 tip, put some auto search on the trade website for +1 all spell skill cold gem / 75%+ cold damage. I see some pop at ridiculous price everyday since people look for spell dmg instead and don't think about it. For a small chaos boost quick IF you know how to trade and know your way around the market and you can sustaint and clear blight maps (with my gear atm i tried up to T6 no problem), by them put 3 teal on it and run them. ATM it's costing me 12c/map (teal included) and i made 30-75 profit / per. It seems they havent nerf them (they should have tbh)

Do merciless lab.

Get 1c upgrades for almost all of your items to get res capped and get some more life.

Run the highest tier maps you can do comfortably. Do blood aqueduct if you have to.

Just play the game.

Also getting 5 linked soul mantle shouldn't be that hard either, jewel your soul mantle to 6 socket then get ~150 links.
Your skill tree looks fine, apart from Nimbleness's intelligence node to Assassination, you better of get Trickery and Blood Siphon and end it there and then invest into curse jewel.
It also might be good to go further into "i am stuck in white maps", like what are you having issues with, then you can target it better

Ok, with the flasks, two greens on Soul Mantle, some respeccing and two new scepters with +1 my DPS is looking good now. Before it required several shots for rares and sometimes stuff would just kill me. Now it's a breeze.

Anyone got a PoB for when using Atziri's Reflection? Are any of the shield nodes worth?

Hey Guys I noticed in PoB that if we change Add Cold damage for Elemental focus we have a huge DPS bonus

any reason why do with add cold damage?
