" Disabling the sound did not work for me. Adding here in case of anyone with same issue. Go to: C:\...\Documents\My Games\Path of Exile Delete all the daily deals, countdown, MOTDS, Minimap, shop images. Worked for me. Last edited by midnightL#2036 on Jan 17, 2021, 6:51:57 AM

Same for me. The moment I see the GGG gears appear my PC turns off, then back on.
Super weird. Never had this happen. I'm going to try the suggestion of deleting files i n PoE folder like the last post suggested. Edit: It still crashes after deleting the PoE game files. I am at a loss. Windows is updated, latest GPU drivers, ... grasping at straws here. Last edited by Biscuit57#1340 on Jan 19, 2021, 3:25:25 PM

Disabling audio devices and deleting POE files in mydocuments as described above didn't work for me. The game crashes on the gears animation on launch.
UPDATE: deleting all cached shaders fixed the issue for me. Go to your POE install folder. For me (using steam) that is C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Path of Exile simply delete folders called "shadercache[...]" the exact folder name will be different depending if you are using directx or vulcan You will automatically get new shaders after starting the game. The first few minutes/hours of play will include missing shaders as they load Last edited by RustyTrombonist#0545 on Jan 28, 2021, 5:22:36 PM

Had same problem, tried all the solutions in this thread. Nothing worked. All i had to do is unplugg my headphones from PC. (was charging them, as soon as i unplugged them, game started without a problem)

Had same problem today when i tried to start PoE.
Tried everything in thread, sound video settings, delete cache and so on. What worked for me: Good old Windows update (2021-KB4598301 Cumulative Update Preview for .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.8 for Windows 10, version 1909, and Windows Server, version 1909) Thought I'd do the same as many other ppl here and leave my solution. Hopefully it will save som1s time. |
