I just wanted to truly say thank you to the OP and others that helped me with questions as I used this build. I have been playing POE since the beginning (I was a founder) and this is the first build that enabled me to experience the entire game.
The build did it all, and did it with ease. Shaper, 20/20 Simulacrum, A8 Sirius, Uber Elder, Uber Atziri (gotta love the Sibyl's ring), and pretty much everything in-between. The DPS is absolutely insane for the investment. I think i've invested about 15ex total and once I got accustomed to the play style and fully utilized arcane cloak, I only ever died to really juiced t16 maps and the occasional wave 19/20 of simulacrum. Again, thank you for helping a complete POE newb push through to end game and conquer the atlas. For anyone that's interested here is my final tree and gear. Yes for some reason my POB line is not working, (try this https://pastebin.com/ghYvh1xx)
Instead what you can do to see my build improvement is to look up my account Ihaxyomamma. Then scroll to the character Brandyomamma. When this loads you will need to go to the passive tree and select the most northern cluster and click all nodes (4) for some reason it never loads with these selected and this is where I have a watchers eye. 7.3m dps is on the lower end of this build. I'm sitting at 11 with tons of upgrades left to go through, and some of the cluster variants posted here have been in the 20-30+ range

Not 7.3m true (this is POB sheer) it doesn't include the buffs. this is per brand dude. (7.3m x 6) then buffs/ailments/etc. to be added. If you can show me a POB sheet dps higher than 7.3m I would love to see it. As per my image.

Biggest dps boost is dropping Sanctuary of Thought once you can maintain ~8k ES with watcher's eye. It'll double your mana cost, so with chain you'll probably wanna be at 4 fevered minds, which opens up options like transcendent flesh in the bottom left socket or dropping the socket and other stuff below ghost reaver.

I can't seem to find a leveling tree or leveling guide. I have no idea how to level a templar. This will be my 2nd character and I have saved about 10ex and will go from there.

" You can't really do x6 as there's only two brands on one enemy. You need to mark 2 brands attached in config and it's reasonable to assume constant max power charges and consecrated ground (especially with Bottled Faith). The 37 million on jbmcarth posted is mine, and here is my most up to date version which should have the config checked properly already. https://pastebin.com/HXjUfE85 I'm at 38m per brand so on a single target that will be 76m. This is before frenzies (which are pretty consistent in juiced maps) and Vaal RF (which is saved for bosses/tanky things I want to spike quickly). The only assumption is consistent self cast Arcane Cloak uptime which seems to be what most people have been using in their DPS calculations. Also ignited from Blade Blase/Wave of Conviction crit.
