" Flask suffix is always my go to. Since we have freeze immunity from Arctic Armor and Tempest Shield gives shock immunity now, only staunching and maybe curing are needed early into the league. Staunching also has CB immunity during flask effect back this league so it shouldn't be too uncomfortable. If you want to free up flask slots late game for whatever reason, you could pretty easily make a bunch of Uncompromising small clusters and throw vaals at them until one hits lol (but seriously, Natural Affinities were pretty cheap this league and CB immunity ones shouldn't be too expensive eventually) Last edited by aiviator on Oct 20, 2021, 2:05:59 AM

This is shaping up very nicely (looking at Aviators latest pob)!
The 6th aura is out of the window with the medium/small cluster jewel change. It was already a strech before. AA OR HoA it is, which should be fine. If HoA we can get freeze immunity from Brine King and if we run AA we can get another Major Pantheon. Maybe Brine King is a good idea in any case, since we can still get stunned when not channeling. And with our low hp pool this might happen pretty often. The Mana Mastery instead of Righteous Decree and the saved point from the improved pathing in the witch area is a nice way to save those crucial late 90 points, I like it! |

" The Pantheons are interesting this league because of the buffs. I think Tukohama is an easy choice for minor. These buffs are great Soul of Tukohama: Now grants “While stationary, gain 3% additional Physical Damage Reduction every second, up to a maximum of 9%” (previously 2%, up to a maximum of 8%). Upgraded Soul of Tukohama no longer grants “While stationary, gain 0.5% of Life Regeneration per second every second, up to a maximum of 2%”. Instead, it now grants “Regenerate 2% of Life per second while stationary”. Major is a little trickier. If I am using AA, I think I might experiment with Arakaali for the first time. The changes seem really good for our build since we now have shock immunity from TS Soul of Arakaali: No longer grants 10% chance to Avoid Lightning Damage from Hits. It now grants 10% reduced Damage taken from Damage over Time (previously 5%). Upgraded Soul of Arakaali Pantheon no longer grants 30% reduced Effect of Shock on You, or 30% reduced Shock Duration on You. Instead, it now grants “Debuffs on You Expire 20% faster”. Upgraded Soul of Arakaali Pantheon now grants +40% Chaos Resistance against Damage over Time (previously 25%), and 20% increased Recovery rate of Life and Energy Shield if you’ve stopped taking Damage Over Time Recently (previously 50%). For fun I just did the following to see what the build will be like with just basic gear when we have no currency.
I removed the corrupted armor, I removed Pain Attunement (to simulate no belt), I removed Unnatural Instinct, I lowered Empower to an affordable 3 , I removed all awakened gems, and I removed Bottled Faith. I believe those are most of the expected high ticket items. Even with out all those items, the POB is showing more damage than I had all last league when I had almost all those items. I think this experiment shows we should be ok as a league starter as long as some of our key uniques don't take too long to show up on the market. Im definitely going to league start with this one (rarely play more than 1 char / league). Might be a little slower on the clear, but that's fine. I think it will work nicely in early maps with no gear and then there's a steady progress with all the uniques, with some being (probably) cheap and others being multi-ex late game. |

I'm considering league starting this one. I did an incinerate chieftain a few patches ago (maybe 2 years) and it was awesome.
I'm a little bit concerned about the Scourge league mechanic being on a timer, but we'll see! Are there any thoughts about which uniques etc. to prioritize first? |

The weapon was my first buy last time I played this. I slapped on some random high block shield and get free life leech.
Shield is probably next. I think Clay suggested this first, but without high armor it's not as useful. Body armor (normal skin of loyal) is probably third for the 6L. I often farm a Tabula in blood aquaduct before this. If you haven't read the original guide (which you should just to get a baseline), only use Natural Affinity once you get the boots. The belt is often the last purchase, especially now we don't need to buy the Overlord meglomanic jewel or blue nightmare. Then you are on the path for awaken gems and such. Just my 2 cents Edit: Inward eye helm somewhere in between. The enchant is absolutely critical to us, so it's up to you if you use an unenchanted one first then buy it enchanted later. Thanks man! Super helpful. I was planning the same thing - Wep + high block shield + tabula -> aegis.
I never farm a Tabula, I always find it off of Hillock :) What I'm thinking about now is the ascendancy order. I think bastion last and the heart of destruction path first. As for my tree pathing: Cast speed -> fire walker -> EO. Then I'll manually path to Heart of Flame + Fire mastery (respec out of it once I get thread). The rest looks pretty obvious. I'll also do the Mental rapidity wheel prior to thread of hope. |

Shaper is just more damage so I think it can be left for last " Most of my caster toons rush for EO, but now it only affects the skill itself I'm not so sure. I often level with scorching ray (infused channel, arcane surge, elemental focus, controlled destruction). Incinerate without cast speed or AOE feels like ass XD |

I've leveled with incinerate before and found it fine! IIRC you can craft cast speed and run two wands too.
You can also be cute and do Incinerate (or scorching ray) CWC firestorm or CWC volatile dead. Makes sense on shaper last, I just worry Bastion won't be as good until you get more notables. Last edited by TheGoatCatcher on Oct 20, 2021, 12:02:18 PM
