I have compiled a list with all the usefull alternative quality gems I found to be good for the build:
" Does anyone else have any suggestions? |
|
" I will read through the full list soon but I wanted to ask about Riposte. How does that fit into our build? Is it going to replace something or are we moving to two usenet rings? All the others ones you listed look great! Last edited by AndyLovesHisBge#5265 on Sep 17, 2020, 9:39:39 AM

Hi I am very interested in this build and considering league start with it, but still get some questions I haven't found answers to, after some researches:
- How does Incinerate scale with cast speed? By looking at your video of A8 Sirus kill, it still takes ~2 seconds to get max stage so it appears to me that cast speed doesn't really increase the speed of stage gain? - For maxing the single target DPS in fights with endgame bosses, do you release as soon as your incinerate gets max stage to have that bonus last wave dmg or keep channeling? I did a rough calculation based on your pob and it seems like the latter does more damage than constantly releasing and re-channeling? - What's your opinion on the alternative quality of Incinerate that they just revealed: " This looks very appealing if we just ignore the last wave damage on release and channel at max stage as long as we can. Thanks for sharing this build again and appreciate you taking time answering all the questions. |
|
" Yea, would use it instead of Reckoning then probably |
|
" Hey! Cast speed makes it so that we get to maximum stacks much faster, so it's good to have atleast some cast speed in the build. I didn't invest too much in the build though, because even with low stacks this build burns through mobs very easily. I try to release on a consistant basis against bosses, mostly just from repositioning to get closer to the boss (by using Flame Dash for example, that will also release the final wave) The alternative Q might be a very viable option, although you might sacrifice some top end dmg then. A nice piece of clearing is coming from the release portion of Incinerate. I might try both and see which I like more :) Greetz Last edited by Claeysken#3702 on Sep 17, 2020, 9:50:55 AM

" Onslaught is fantastic but I guess the choice between Riposte and Reckoning will come down to offense vs defense as the debilitate buff looks nice as well. It looks fairly easy to keep up either one up near 100% of the time since we hit so frequently with Incinerate. |
|
" Yea, and also, Reckoning is an AoE skill, so will hit multiple enemies at once, Riposte is only 1 target. Reckoning will be better still I think. |

Ok, I have now reviewed the full list. Here are some thoughts. Let me know what you think.
* Flame Dash: 20% increased travel distance I had no issue with Flame Dash last league so I think giving up a little cool down increase for a nice increased distanced traveled will make zipping around maps much faster. *Frost Shield: 10% of Damage dealt to you or Allies in Area with Hits by Enemies in Area is taken from Frost Shield's Life before your Life or Energy Shield This is for the single curse set up in place of Cold Snap. This alternate quality will give a little more defense *Infernal Cry: 20% chance to Cover Enemies in Ash on Hit We give up AOE but this means we can keep up ash near constantly whether we are actively using Infernal Cry or not. That seems really good if I am reading it right. *Cast when Damage Taken Support: Supported Skills have 20% increased Skill Effect Duration This seems to work nicely with Molten Shell *Enhance Support: 60% reduced Dexterity Requirement If you don't intend to level the gem, this might help people trying to deal with Dex requirements. I can't recall what the current dex requirement is for the build. |
