My favorite memory: Mirror of K dropped
Day 3 of the 1 month flashback league back in 2015 I believe. Dropped on a t3 mud geyser off a mud crab! |

Best memory is probably the first few minutes in my first Twilight Strand. The feel and atmosphere of the game reminded me of Diablo 2 and got me excited.
Other good memories involve my first epic fight with Dominus (he was the final boss back then) and finally getting Atziri down after long planning and many failed attempts (she used to my much harder in relative terms). Planning a build and getting it working still feels good even though most of my builds eventually get decimated by nerfs. On the item side, I have always played ssf, so there is still a lot of "nice, now I can do build X" with drops. The standout, however, was getting a Shavronnes Wrappings from divination cards. That item has lost a lot of value, but it is super rare and build enabling in SSF. Getting a blessing of Chayla in Synthesis was also really nice, since Chayla breachstones take forever to obtain (still have not run any despite maybe 3k hours in game). | |
This might be a little sad, but with a good ending (at least i hope it will be :D)
In 2014 i left my former country (Venezuela) and move to Spain. I left almost everything behind, the only things that I could bring with me was my sick mom and a really old laptop After some intense days in which i had to take care of my mom, look for a job, go to medical appointments and a really long etc., some days i really NEEDED to play something in order to get some moment of relax. After a quick pc formatting and a steam installation came across PoE. Like most ppl here, i used to play D2 a lot, so, why not? seems nice, the mechanics are really interesting and look like they got rid everything that i hated about D3 I made an extremly rustic desk in my mom's room (with boxes and a plank) in order to play and take care of her. I remember that at one point I killed Dominus after some tries. After a sigh of relief of "finally!" she told me: Mom: Did you kill him? Me: yup Mom: give you any goods? Me: nup Me: <sarcasm>poor baby...</sarcasm> it was funny and sad at the same time My mom passed away, until the end, she was really cheerful when I was taking care of her while playing PoE. Of course, I remember her everyday! but specially in the last level of act 3 when in my head i hear Poor baby when i see the items that Dominus drops and the only thing i can do is smile :) Sorry about my english by the way Last edited by Drakezilla#4350 on Aug 10, 2020, 1:13:08 PM

I started playing seriously back in Abyss league (got past act 1).
I remember EK Nova and how smooth it felt with shield charge + brightbeak and lightpoacher, clearing red maps that i barely knew how to roll in a couple of mins. Just chisel'ed + alc'ed, reroll reflect and gogogo. I was playing from morning till night with the free time i had. Learned so much about mapping in that league and I was so proud that i finally learnt and fully understood how to sextant block by the end. However the highlight of this experience was definatly the Mirror drop. I unfortunatly sold it for 2 wands for a kinetic blast build that i was told was much better (so i could actually attempt a map boss..). Was doing Atoll and Infested Valley(where the mirror dropped). I had cleared the map, except the boss ofc.. and was about to leave, but there was a corner of undiscovered area so after i made the portal, i ran over there and BOOM Mirror! Overall many good memories from each league as i mastered new challenges such as leveling to maps in under 4h, Uber Elder, 1k T16 maps, 36 challenges, First Doctor drop, Headhunter, level 100 (AS A RANGER MAIN). And way more, these just required a league(or more) to complete for me :D |

My favorite memory is, from when you robbed me of my idea for a Comic Book based on the origins of the exiles. Paying a profesional Studio, instead of letting a young Artist break into something bigger....
You didn´t even bother to change the goddamn name of the Novel...nor did i ever get an apology...... IGN: FlinkeKlinge

My favorite memory was when almost all gems stopped being drop-only or limited to vendor/reward availability by class!

That's my feels, but that post aside.. would be nice for alpha/beta supporters to receive early access into PoE2, for testing purposes... or I don't know... maybe a free MTX for stick'n in this long? Any sign of appreciation for our loyalty? Guess not.. ---Walks away sad--- "You're my Sword's canvas." ~Totes Adorbs. Last edited by Totes_Adorbs#1072 on Aug 10, 2020, 2:17:38 PM

-I remember my first hardcore death, I was in the Crystal Veins in act 3, when a unique item dropped from the Burning Man, in excitement I went to loot it forgetting he explodes after death. RIP
-Finding a large strongbox with the mods items fully-linked and 2 additional sockets, upon completing the encounter 3 6L items dropped. -The incredible journey from being complete layman at this game, to answering abundant of various questions to inexperienced players. |

My favorite memories are playing with all my friends when PoE was a better multiplayer game.
Remember when it hit (8 EST) time and we all were logged on and did master runs? We then continued into maps and did some quests with them. Now, there is no reason to play together. The endgame has gotten so difficult that it sucks to try and run together. Stuff that one person walks through seems to kill other players without even blinking. I LOVE when we are in a map and jun assassins teleport in and kill you immediately. Nevermind that you can dust the boss in the map without taking any damage, these guys will KILL you. Now everyone in my guild has moved on to other games. I'm hoping that PoE2 will bring back the multiplayer fun, but with the "twitch disease" (everything cater to the almighty streamer) I doubt that will happen... Sorry if you don't agree, but this is my groups perception... |
