" I wouldn't recommend any Spell Totem build as a true starter. The nerf to Soul Mantle is quite large, and there's other issues with scaling offense and defense. The build works, but you'll start feeling the limitations at high red maps and of course finishing your atlas and voidstones. If you like the totem playstyle, then Explosive Arrow Ballistas (Elementalist > Hiero/Champ) is a very solid starter, which I did in 3.17.
