3.13 Launch Delayed until January

The most concerning issue is, they finish 3.13 early December, they start working in 3.14 for a month. 3.13 is then released, there will be bugs and issues, but the developers minds will have been absorbed in 3.14 for weeks, so they are likely to be rusty when it comes to 3.13 code and logic, meaning we can expect to see more patches that fix 3 things, and break another 5.

Then after 4 weeks of 3.13, they start to move back to 3.14 again, and they're like "what did I mean by this code again? I wrote it a month ago before I jumped back onto 3.13."

I am concerned that the last few leagues have had severe issues, and that's when you were focussing on them. Now are you going to be jumping back and forth between different projects, surely the quality will get worse as a result.

The whole “3.13 would have been done on time anyway” just feels like an excuse to justify the 3 month cycle to me.

lol,... so in january, if another game is dropping, will you push it back more please? so we dont have to choose between two games at that point either.

This is a funny cop-out.
Flashback, noicerrrr
Super sad face. Fuck Cyberpunk

well i am ok with waiting 2 more months as long fix some bugs, i have a average pc i5 9400f, 16gb ram, gtx 1660 super and a ssd and during delirium i have some fps drops and some mobs take a long time to appear i dont know if my pc is not enough or is a poe problem
My guess is Chris has some insider info and is more than confident Cyberpunk won't be delayed again.

That said, I wish the post read more like; 'We're going to make 3.13 the best league ever!' Instead of, we'll use the extra time to work on THE FOLLOWING LEAGUE!
I only posted coz I wanna see my badges :)

Delayed or not, will still play POE <3
Within the first couple of pages of this thread we observed all that is toxic about this community (and the irony of that statement is not lost on me, when I've also been highly critical of GGG at times). Whatever the company puts forward, there will be some tinfoil hat conspiracy theorist interpreting it in the most negative way.

Everything from "they still borked it and the quality will be crap" through to "but I want my game now - stamps feet angrily" and "won't somebody think of the deprived children that won't get to play PoE". Particularly enjoyable are the people calling for a refund of all the money they contributed over the years, as if a one month delay has torn the very heart out of their entire system of beliefs, contributed to global warming, is probably responsible for all the injustice throughout the world and no doubt is also planning to bring back 'New' Coke.

There have been some common sense contributions to the discussion but they appear to be in the minority.

To expand upon Chris' missive, PoE is not just about retaining existing players but about continuing to attract new players. Going head to head with a juggernaut that will have a massive marketing presence at the peak holiday period is a sure way to have your own targeted marketing be drowned out and lose the effectiveness it might have had. So strategically, delaying the release is a smart move.

For every tantrum throwing forum Exile who takes their bat and ball and heads home, a legion of others will remain and keep playing soon forgetting to grumble under their breath about how GGG done them wrong. It's not like they're switching off the servers and you won't be able to play anything. In fact, they've hinted at a mini-league something along the lines of Flashback which has historically been one of the more highly regarded and frequently requested leagues.

Talk about your first world problems!
Don't plan to play Cyberpunk.
Thanks for a great game!

that's a new low. what happened to that consistency bullshaft in your presentation to mmo longevity, ggg?
"We do not want to put our players in a position of having to choose between these two games" now who the rng do you think you are to make my decisions for me ? please limmit the "i know whats better for you" to the balance manifesto.
it doesnt matter to me how good the marketing team made the presentation, this just feels like a spit on my face, a little grin, and a whisper " you will be back on leaguestart". and i probably will. maybe with the extra month ill get hooked into something else and finally bid adios to this gambling galore. i for sure will not be playing the inflation simulation for an extra 4 weeks. i wonder if the next league will be cool. H Y P E ~
