Our Reasoning Behind the 3.13 Launch Delay

GGG now doesn't trust their player base to play their game. They made a choice to better their selves and not their player base. I almost thought I was reading a post form blizzard. We all go back to work in Jan and I for one will not be buying any supporter packs for this league and maybe for ever. I hope people don't let this slide otherwise they will turn into just another company and get too greedy.

It's not about "trusting issues", dude... They trust in their player base, that's why we see plenty of leagues and different content each time. If they wouldn't trust us, their players, they would be producing the same thing over and over again.

They know the market, something that most of us don't understand. If they made this choice it's because they have a reason behind it. And they know better than us about the game market and that stuff, they have their fundaments to make their choices.

I see this as an incredible move, we don't know how much hype is there for this Cyberpunk game but they had a past experience with Blight and they don't want to repeat it.
Do what you have to do, Chris and team ;)
Some of us will be here as always, through thick and thin.
So it turns out they need the extra time, huh? Who woulda thought... The last post made it seems like 3.13 would be done in early December no problem.

And if they were confident in getting 3.13 done in mid/early December why not release it like December 17th? Wouldn’t that make a lot more sense financially? But they couldn’t do that because they knew they need more time so it doesn’t turn into another Heist.

Not Buying it

Just be honest, Tencent(86% Shareholder in GGG & 40% Shareholder in EPIC GAMES) told you guys DELAY IT.

I am tired of the assumptions and beating around the truth.

Guess it's hard to not contradict yourself in the same sentence, when you have double digit IQ, right?

It's not completely baseless, they are shareholders. Also, insulting ppls intellect won't make your argument any better.

This further proves how beyond disconnected from reality the directors at GGG are, especially Mr Wilson. This is the same level of sociopathic-narcissism that drives scalpers to make such activities a full time job. The game loop intent is for adoption to be driven by *greed*! What you are describing is greed. Full stop. Not competition or fun player interactions.. but greed. The reveal and reality here is that you have designed the game and it's (lack of) systems in such a flawed way that it is BEYOND a waste of time to start playing a league well after it has initiated. As an ex-player, I felt this in every sense of the game for the past several leagues, and it sucks. It sucks to know you really don't respect my time, as a player. This driver is also your own downfall. You are quite *literally* doing what you claim to protest in terms of gimmicks and weak game integrity, found at other often AAA game publishers.

These development priorities, the (LACK OF) community interaction and engagement are based on the facts provided here and in previous public disclosures (see 2019 GDC talk, focused on hooking players on a seasonal update schedule). GGG's "design manifesto" is solely focusing releases on these gimmicks and "short term wins" rather than providing a rewarding long-term and playable game environment. This boils down to "how can we trick and addict people just long enough to get revenue from MTX". As long as new players keep buying MTX and as long as the larger half of players aren't experiencing the embarrasing client/server/design flaws present in the "endgame", why bother? GGG will keep re-inflating this blow up doll for more new suckers to ride while also ignoring bugs and gaping design flaws. The absolute disrespect for even the most loyal of (ex-)supporters that have MORE then generously given over the past ~7 years is unforgivable. I pity the employees that aren't on the mainland contract dev team (at least the CN part of the dev group, knows what they signed up for).

It's really too bad because I once believed, foolishly, this game had a good thing going.. but your repeated actions and lies (distributed through your Community Director) time and time again have proved: You do *not* care about the quality of the game, as long as the revenue keeps coming.

For the sake of folks trying to make a living in GGG's employ, I hope folks realize selling out ethically is never worth it and they find rewarding employment elsewhere..

Sounds like you need to get out more and get some friends, because holy crap, son... this was a sad read...

more damage control...
sigh

was the f-bomb profanity necessary in an offical post, though?

all in all this whole fiasco stinks of chris not having trust or confidence in this game... you just keep advertising cyberfunk as if you want poe players to go play that game instead

Incessant bickering, moral policing and the attitude of a spoilt brat.
I call GGG out when they make mistakes and I support them when they make right choices. This is the right choice.

Stop bickering. You've offered nothing to the company in any shape or form other than your negativity.
Please watch over 'casual' players also, not everyone can spend many hours per day and I'm pretty sure every1 would love to get access to all the content or at least the majority, I fell some aspects of the game, even for players who have some free time is really hard to achieve, some things has such a low rate drop that ends up discouraging people to keep going.
As a hardcore Path player, I understand this from every perspective and since this game has launched, (I played since day 1), I have always stuck by its side. I even endured 2 years of playing on ps4 when i didnt have a PC!! I'm always looking forward to the new content, however it doesn't mean we cant have fun with a flashback league or something else. I have played other games but I think I can speak for all of us die hard POE heads when I say thanks for being open and honest. We really can't ask for more then that especially now days. I was not going to play cyber but I might now and that's fine as ill always come back for anything you guys give us. - Mondartharian

100% agree with this. I would much rather play a league that has been tested and polished then sit through another Heist league start. Love poe but had a hard time playing this league do to the constant crashing and had one of my first leagues since Synthesis where I actually chose a different game over Poe.

Sad to see that it won't be ready for the Holiday but I don't get much time off during this time so it doesn't make much difference for me.

Thank you Chris for being real with us, we have to understand that if the league doesn't start well the company doesn't do well and if that happens too many times then we won't have a game to love playing like Poe. I thank you for all the hard work and the hard decisions you have to make!
