Our Reasoning Behind the 3.13 Launch Delay
" Not really... Players stopped playing when streamers didn't liked Harvest and started streaming other games? NO Players stopped playing the game when streamers skipped Synthesis league? NO If you really think this game would die if people stop streaming it, you are really delusional. Last edited by CthulhuMaster#6402 on Oct 31, 2020, 9:47:16 PM

According to PoE streamers they actually LOSE MASSIVE numbers of viewers when they play other games.

Still a cowardly response, Shows me you don't have faith in your own game and content to try to compete with other companies.

I welcome this!. I am far too busy toying around with my Playstation, CyberPunk and WOW expansion to have any time left for POE.
I have three phones, Blizzard. Three f***ing phones.

First time i'm answering here, but i'm agreed with you and understand your point. In europe, we won't have any christmas party, many people don't work anymore due to pandemic, so your league cycle is very important.
In the other hands, i'm playing the game since 2013, this game has become better and better every times i get back on it, and its true, i totally can believe it, a 3month cycle for new content may be hard for you and your team to keep up with. Sometimes its good to step back 1 step to advance 2 step. Get your team, they deserv it, breaks, let them breath, you too chris, and come back to us with the motivation you've shown (and i'm talking about all ggg team not only you) since the game initial release. I'm by default gonna play cyberpunk 2077 because everyone does, but it doesnt appeal me at all. Take care. Last edited by slimthug879#1708 on Nov 1, 2020, 1:21:02 AM

This is why I love Chris and GGG. Even if sometimes a league dosnt pull me in, I`m not concerned about it, because I know I can trust the integrity and the vision behind the game and the next batch of content is likely to be awesome. I respect and have faith in the developers and I appreciate the frank honestly in communicating what was no doubt a hard decision to deal with an impossible situation.
You did right by me Chris. Keep up the great work and I`ll be there for the league when it releases! Last edited by Tyrrion#3691 on Nov 1, 2020, 2:45:37 AM

" just because a lot of people buy something it doesnt mean its good. Or do you actually say gangnam sytle is the best music just because a lot of people listen to it? OF course not. Get your facts straight lol |

As I just wrote under the original post:
Great news, I prefer getting polished content from previous leagues with some extra spice during the time of year where I can spend the most time of playing through a Mayhem / Flashback / Race / ... event rather than just another buggy new league. In Standard all the content from leagues that I hated is now enjoyable: - Metamorphs won't make the game freeze and one shot you while the screen doesn't move - Delirium expands smoothly without pushing the ping to 5000ms - The Blight encounters won't make the game crash in the middle - Legion mob groups can be killed based on your DPS and not based on the limitation when the game starts freezing because too many mobs die at once Based on that positive experience, I would even suggest to always have 1 month between leagues filled with Flashback / Legacy / Race / Mayhem etc to give the team more time to polish the next league. I will make one exception: even in Standard I will skip Heist content (let's pray that it won't migrate but there was probably too much dev cost in voice acting to make that dream come true...): The game still disconnects during 25-50% of the lockdown phases and in consequence makes you lose all your loot. This is such a dumb and frustrating mechanic that I have rage-quit the game and won't come back to Heist. The genius mind behind that mechanic should receive a recommendation letter by Chris himself to the CD Project Red team, because that level of brilliant creativity will be also a perfect asset to Cyberpunk 2077. |
