Hideout Competition Runners-Up

As someone who got showcased in the second "Competition highlights"- post, I feel tad bit disappointed not to be even in the runner up runner ups, but hey, better luck next time!

I'm making all my hideouts for mainly myself, and people to download in some cases, but not to win prizes.

Congratulations for all the winners once again!

I think it is important to say that a large chunk of the community who cares about the competition and Hideouts is simply frustrated as the size of one's pockets played a major role in getting to the podium. It is not fair to other competitors who were promised that MTX free and MTX inclusive hideouts would be rated differently (and even be represented in a mixture of winners). The problem with this competition is about fairness between competitors and the obvious favoring of MTX users by Path of Exile and its judges. Nothing of that (the fairness) is seen in the hideout winners section sadly. There are fair ways of holding this competition and unfair ones, sadly, this one was the latter. It just leaves a bad taste of such a good game otherwise. If you want to make it fair for everyone, let competitors use any decorations and hideouts available in the game for free for the period of the competition. As someone else pointed out, you could just host a competition server/league with access only to one's hideouts.

PS! I am really looking forward to a reply from GGG here as this is a recurring theme in the comments that you have received. How will you go forward with tackling unfairness in your future competitions? Maybe do not just state that the competition will be fair in the future if as a business you cannot uphold this claim? I understand and I bet others do also, that competitions like these drive MTX sales for decorations and tilesets. But please, just do not lie to your players, it's that easy.

I guess we are not going to get a reply from GGG on this. What a pity.
Congratulations all! Beautiful work!

I would like to see a detailed video that talks about what things GGG is looking for in winners. What they value most. Because I would have picked some of the winners, but others not so much and some that did not get a winning spot, I am a bit shocked they didn't even place. I would like to know that my many hours put into my hideout was directed at the proper goal. I can't put together what all the winners have in common to learn from. I don't have a lot of energy because of multiple chronic illness, so I want to use it wisely next time.

I feel a bit lost as to what to aim for.

Very best wishes!

NOT saying that I should have won anything, but here is my hideout again, just because I liked it and want to share it again. It was fun to make!

The Hotel with One Room

Occasionally when you take a waypoint you end up at a hotel with only one room and a long waiting list.

But is there really one room?

Hoping to figure out how to do a video soon to add to this.
