[Just kidding. It's me from the future and this painting was elementary school level of bad, so now it's gone because the delirium voice in my head told me to.]

This is the first time in 10 years that I painted something. Kinda out of practice, but I feel proud that I actually did it. I used watercolours + salt to change the texture of the paint a little.

My submission for the Talent Competition, Daresso's Courage!

Why Daresso's Courage?
From the first time it dropped for me when I began playing in Harvest League I have loved how this shield looked and since then I have wanted to recreate it. I decided to use two layers of wood to achieve the effect, and used a dremmel to etch the designs. I finished it with a coat of resin to seal the wood and paint and to protect it from moisture. Its not one I would use in a fight but it definitely can take a hit, although I wouldn't say 250-300 armour.

For the competition I made a short story, not much to try to win, but to see if I can write :)


It was already dark in these treacherous woods, the night always seemed to come earlier than it should. But such was the life in Wraelcast.

Petarus and Vanja were enjoying their rabbit while considering their next move. They were chasing clues, rumors and ancient texts for so long, that they started missing their home at Highgate.
The Vaal library was close, they knew it. Not much by the information they had anyway. But by the increasing amount of templars in the area.
It was well known, that templars left nothing of power or historical value to rest. So here they were. And they had a headstart.
But templars were not the only person looking for the lost library.

Petarus and Vanja never saw face nor the figure of their pursuer. But they knew someone is tailing them. And has been for quite some time.
Petarus simply had to address the problem
"Darling, how long are we going to..."
"...Tolerate out tail?! Three days ago was too late... We barely evaded the templars in past days." Replied Vanja, knowing what was on his mind.
"But so did our pursuer. And judging by the fact that they still did not attacked..."
"You really dare to be so naive in this situation? Come now dear, your blackguard training sure left you tougher than this."
"Well, if they would mean us harm they already had enough opportunities."
"Indeed I had." Replied third voice, seemingly from nowhere.
"What?!" Proclaimed both of them as they lashed for their weapons, backing each other and looking for their pursuer.
"I do not mean harm, we seek the same thing, for our own reasons. But the templars are getting too close to continue like this. "
"Hold on, let us get this right. You follow us for god know how long..!" Vanja dared to interrupt,
"Weeks."
Petarus then calculated and he did not like the result. "For weeks?! But that would mean..."
"...Since we left Highgate!"
"So you follow us for weeks and now you want to talk?!"
"Listen, the templar scouts are getting tight, I myself will soon be unable to pass undetected. But you two have talent. I know you are after the library. And I have no issue with that. But there is certain book in there. A book which must not fall to the hands of templars. I propose a truce, we help each other. I get that book, you get whatever else in there you want.
"No." was answer so quick, that it surprised both the unknown person and Petarus
"Are you sure sweetie? We sure had issues slip unnoticed. Who know when our luck will run out."
"I would rather fight through few dozen templars than believe a stranger!"
"You can call me Jun. And I came here to tell you this. You did not passed unnoticed today. They are already on their way here.
"See sweetie? Do you really want to fight now and abandon what we worked for, or are we going to believe Jun for a moment.
"Hm, how can we know she did not brought them here, or worse don't work for them?


The cloud of distrust was lifted when Jun led them through the tightening net of templars. Were it not for her they would be captured.
However none of them got much sleep that night. There were just so many questions, and a lot of trust to be built for their plan to succeed.
To Petarus and Vanja, it become obvious that they will not be able to get much from the library. Jun told them nothing about the book she is after, but instead helped them understand what they could look for when they get there.
What is so powerful about the book Jun is after, that she willingly let them know about all the knowledge of Vaal technology waiting for them?

After just two days of traveling together, they saw the templars in area for what they were. A misplaced archeological expedition with numerous guards
It became obvious that not even templar knew precisely where the vaal library was. Which played right into their cards. Because with their knowledge combined, Petarus, Vanja and Jun knew where to look.
They also decided they wont let slip an opportunity to distract all templars and make them chase after red herring. Taking some religious objects from vaal shrine they passed by, and covering it on a spot to be found next day, they tricked leader of this expedition to contact others. Several birds flied from the useless ruins, one in the direction they headed.

Replica Chaos Orb

So here is my contribution to the talent competition, a replica chaos orb:


Ever since the introduction of replica unique items to the game I was intrigued by the idea of having other replica items. Here is my interpretation of a replica chaos orb. It has the same basic form, though it is modeled after the likeness of a long forgotten emperor.

All parts are separable one by one and held together by 3 little magnets.
I know that paint job is nothing special as I am not good with paints :D This is my second project including painting of models :)

I know that banners should have yellow or golden color on the bottom, but due to corona lockdowns I had no other choice than use this color instead as shops for tinkering materials are closed :(

I have used some models from Thingiverse as I am not as skilled with 3D modeling as I would like to be :D

All used models had to be edited, made a much less detailed and with lower polygon mesh, so it was not just copy paste.
