The maximum resistance part is confusing me.
The author says "No" twice, then proceeds to confirm what the person is asking. At least that's how I am reading it.

Since there is a 90% cap... I will take damage as if I had 90%?

Is then answered by

"
No... There is a cap on maximum cold resistance... Your maximum resistance cannot be raised above 90%

and

"
-10% max res [will be] deducted from my "hidden" overcap and leave me at 85%

Is answered again with

"
No... results in a total of 85%

I feel like I'm missing something. What is he saying no to. What is the question getting wrong.

it is indeed confusing because the "no" is just to parts of the question.

regular max res is 75% - 90% is the cap, you can't raise it above 90% even if you stack more than 15% - it does nothing. - Thats the "no" part.

for the specific example 10+5+5 - with map mod -10, so 10+5+5-10= +10 = 75+10=85 the overcap does something. but its still stands true that it does nothing above 90%.

edited out, seems I misunderstood something

Good post, more of these would be apreciated.
soul of ralakesh pantheon offers 25% reduced phy damage over time while moving.

if i'm using 20/20 petrified blood, 40% of life loss below half is prevented, then 76% of life loss prevented this way is lost over 4s, does this count as a DOT which the above pantheon applies to?
bitch about a niche game? lol.
each new league is a circus of nerfs and buffs.
where is the element of fun in discovering the unknown in this game?

life loss from petrified blood is not phys damage over time or any kind of damage at all, thus ralakesh pantheon does nothing positive in this scenario, case closed
When fallacious arguments aren't convincing comes the biased moderation.
When using a curse with Profane Proxy, is the curse considered as "minion's curse" or "your curse" ? Will the passives affect curse this way ?
Thank you for this thread. That was a genuinely enjoyable and informative read.

This is your curse, all modifiers such as curse effect and curse AoE affect this curse.
I love that we have a game that's so complicated that this...:

Are there ways to increase the damage it deals?

You can increase how much damage you take from it with damage taken modifiers, such as being shocked. The amount of damage it tries to deal is fixed.

... is a reasonable question and answer. The possible distinction may affect a niche case, and it's important to specify exactly what is meant.

Is there an interaction between Awakened Spell Echo and Summon Skeletons with the Dead Reckoning jewel?
A skeleton is not a repeat of a skill, and damage dealt by the skeletons' melee attacks or spells is dealt by that skill, not by the summon skeletons skill. The final repeat of summon skeletons technically has a chance to deal double damage, but since the summon skeletons skill cannot ever deal damage, this doesn't do anything.
I think you should clarify the answer. It's quite easy to misunderstand it as if final repeat of Skele mages' elemental spell-projectiles don't benefint from "Final Repeat of Supported Skills has #% chance to deal Double Damage" stat.

upd. nvm, it doesn't benefit as Mark has explained
