the worst part about expedition (not gameplay related) is that you end the quest with more lore questions than answers.
Why mention the failed rebellion. Who /what /why Is the current king still of Cadigan's line or someone else ? Why is he hated so much that there was a rebellion ? What happened to Annest / Olroth's unnamed son that were sent back to the homeland as Children, surely something happened with them since Tujen / Gwen refer to themselves as decendants of Annest. Are we to assume Dannig is a descendant of Olroths son or some relation? What was the "ancient site of power" ? Why did Uhtred wipe out the remaining survivors ? Why did they believe this "ancient site of power" could transport them home? What is "the stars betrayed us" reffering to ? their runes / the barrier / their divinations /the gems ? how did Uhtred / Vorana learn that the stars betrayed us ? I dont recall Medved / Olroth having these lines. what actually corrupted everyone ? the gems / the fiend / the monsters / something else ? did they all just return to slumber once everyone was wiped out ? waiting for us to blow them up and awaken them ? what of the mountain-men and island-men ? how were they able to live if if everything is so messed up What actually is the Triskelion Flame ? why is it referred to as the starlight barrier ? How was it able to purify the land / food / hold the "evil" at bay. Was it Olroth who burned the boats and took the flame or something else in the shadows like Rog suggests if the flame is so powerful then how did explosives manage to destroy it ? If they were desperate enough to find the flame that they came to wraeclast, why lie about having to destroy it saying "This quest is about the journey, not the destination." like what ? you literally came looking for the flame because of "trobled times" so many questions and zero answers. the bosses were cool tho..... |
