There's something I'm not quite understanding. Running Cyclone, without Arcane Surge, in the 6-link with Cast while Channeling, mana doesn't even dent. Pop Arcane Cloak and enable Arcane Surge and the mana usage of Cyclone goes higher and results in the mana regen not being able to keep up. That's the stuttered mana pool we see in all the videos after Arcane Cloak is fired.

Why is that?

EDIT: It would appear it's because the skill gets such a boost in DMG, in turn it gets a boost to it's mana cost. From 2 to 40+. Shame.

EDIT: It's not Cyclone that's causing the huge mana burn, it's Ball Lightning, which is supported by Cast while Channeling. Replace it with a lower mana usage skill, such as a lower level gem, and the problem disappears. Sadly, Ball Lightning is awesome in this spot, so I guess I'll have to live with it. It would be nice/amazing to have almost permanent Arcane Cloak uptime. Ah well.

Do you have some ideas how to improve clear speed? Have you tested Asenath's Gentle Touch?
Any suggestions for improvements would be appreciated.

Culling strike, Unnerved, % of mana as ES on shield, and u may want curse elem weakness on ur gloves

On bossing the lower current mana we have the more Manabond deal dmg. On mapping we're using Arc+Arcane cloak, cant get whats the problem..
If u lack mana for mapping then just take Thrill Killer from passiv tree- thats solve it.

Manabond is ok for bosses, but the real damage dealer in our arsenal is when we pop Arcane Cloak/Surge. That's the bread and butter for melting things. And that's what I'd like to have up as much as possible.

Sure, there's a cooldown on Arcane Cloak, which you can mitigate somewhat with some cooldown reduction. But the problem lies in that your mana hasn't regenerated enough to warrant firing Arcane Cloak again - as it benefits from the most mana possible.

Thrill Killer almost solves the problem, assuming there are baddies around to kill. Thank you for pointing that passive out. But for bosses, it's useless as there are no more baddies to kill.

Maybe I'm just chasing a pipe dream. But when I'm level 25+ in Simulacrum and every enemy is retarded strong, I really want Arcane Cloak firing as much as possible.

If I'm not making sense, let me know and I'll link some vids.

I understand you but you have to time your arcane with when delayed mana flask pops for most usage and dmg
