Blind made evasion a bit moot, evasion couldn't mitigate against spells, dodge was skewed in favour of melee hits.

The inclusion of spell mitigation for evasion means than high evasion is worth pushing for, and it's easier to build around as you no longer need to also have blind and dodge.

I think these are good changes for Dex based characters.

So you have 10000 armor, get hit for 2000, you reduce it by 33% despite it claiming that to achieve 50% of the mitigation you need 5 times the armor, which it has in the example, am I stupid and overlooking something or what's up with that?

Just in case you hadn't seen it yet, they've fixed this typo (changed the final % they mention to 50%)

Fix expedition mobs immortality when there are packs within a narrow corridor. Sometimes we need to walk around to attract them and if you have a character that's based on leech you are dead.

More projectile defenses for ranged/passive characters. Offscreen one shots doesn't make sense.

Add more sources of chaos immunity, maybe penalizing elemental resistance (which are super easy to acquire) chaos degen is a bitch. Specially Maven assisted bosses.

1st note: Buffs, awesome rework
2nd note: Meeh, some buffs and some nerfs

Versatile Combatant is now a Keystone Passive on the Passive Skill Tree: Grants +2% Chance to Block Spell Damage for each 1% Overcapped Chance to Block Attack Damage. Also grants -25% to maximum Chance to Block Attack Damage, and -25% to maximum Chance to Block Spell Damage. This means that if you have a 75% chance to Block Attack Damage, allocating this Keystone Passive grants you a 50% chance to Block Attack Damage, as well as a 50% chance to Block Spell Damage.

This sucks so much. You better buff another ascendancy node or gladiators gonna feel so bad. My tanky char is now the squishiest of all defensive ascendancies while every other ascendancy can stack to even better levels of block and spell block.

I invested so much time and effort on my max block standard character and you’ve pretty much trashed the hours of work i put into it. Most of my gear was hours and hours of self crafting over several leagues.

Dammit.
Ok, we can all agree or disagree about these changes.
Personnaly, I'm think it's good, even if it hurts me to say good bye to my dodge builds.

But GGG has make the effort to explicit their intentions (and it seems very consistent for me). So, can we at least keep these intentions in mind and debate about, before just complain ?

Me too. Block is the only source of defence available for the Gladiator. If u remove it the Gladiator became trashy, our equip became trashy...
