Yup, at least for a Attack + Spell Block setup. You could forego Spell Block and a lucky 75% attack block becomes 93.75/0 block instead of the 75/50, which at least isn't directly worse than 75/75, but is probably still overall worse...

Suggestion for new Gladiator node:

Please consider Blocked Attacks are Unlucky with + 10-20% maximum spell block OR Blocked Attacks and Spells are Unlucky, so that we can still have some additional spell mitigation like before even if it takes more investment.

The fact that the new node will only affect attacks really really feels bad.
I like the ideas of the core defences. Game complexity and variety is so powerfull in PoE. Please make sure not to simplify the game too much though. I hope you guys you know what you are doing with this. Thanks for the hard work GGG, can't wait for the new league!

Dude, did you even listen to Chris' answer to this problem? He said they totally agree, but they want to adress it later with data from the new "hard mode". Which is totally fine.

No, this is NOT fine. U want to tell me that they have insufficent data from 7 years of path of exile? AS IF this stupid hardmode will change anything.

First of who will play this whole "hard mode"? Sadists? New players that dont know what to click?

Are u new to this game? Cause i havent seen a single person pick up every rare item that is on the ground. Whatever.

Hard mode = no items, players very happy to find one once in a blue moon.

Problem: Melee skill gems rely on weapon damage while spells do not
Solution: Let Melee skills scale like spells and not being dependant on weapon damage. e.g. 300-2500 damage.

Yeah, it's shocking that GGG just somehow didn't realize it at first, that "add another layer of RNG to loot" just makes things even worse. No matter how many times they seem to drive players off with it, they keep feeling it's a brilliant idea.

And how would it even be handled? Wasn't there already a variable to describe something as inherently "better?" Like a word beginning with the letter "Q" or something?

And yet again GGG does it. Gladiator who sacraficed damage to tankyness is utherly killed, he will not have damage nor tankyness. Gj GGG killing just another ascendancy next to inquisitor.

My hype level to next league became -9000 with killing gladiator.
Kill gladiator and buff raider.
