I'm not sure if it's residual frustration with the last patch and/or issue with some of the decisions made by GGG over the past few leagues (some for sure warranting scrutiny). But, this seems to be a crazy over reaction to me...
The armour isn't getting worse. Sure, a perceived nerf relative to a new potential ceiling. But the gear was fine up until now with no extra %defenses and will still be fine this patch.
This is such a minor change in the grand scheme of things. It's a waste for the community to get stuck on it when other things are more pressing and should have our attention.
It feels to me like alot of people just need to take a break from the game. Things just go from 0-100 instantly which is definitely not good for the community. Things seem to be getting far more toxic each league.
Anyway, just my opinion. Free to disagree.

Many players seem to miss this fact. This means we get more armor, evasion and energy shield per item, up to 15%.

The sacred orb just a method to help top 1% player chase gear upgrades.

The only issue with the sacred orb is that, when power creep is an issue GGG will assume everyone has +13% on this stat and nerf players, or boost monster damage.

Dude, if you introduce means for doing something which I won't see in well over 700 hours of gameplay - these means are not existing for me.

Your crew is wasting money on bald concept which would barely affect the playerbase.

Especially since it'll gonna be way easier to BUY DIRECTLY perfect def item rather than have that def roll orb LOOTED.

One more self-made problem, solution to which is BETTER TRADE.

P. S. Also, more junk players will gonna have to pick. To promote buying more stash tabs indirectly. Yay. As a third generation seller, I'm quite amused by this trick. You're probably out of tricks. But this one is quite neat, no sarcasm intended.

P. P. S. What's next? Item inventory size reducing currency which is more rare than Mirror and can only be unlocked through now-almost-obsolete Harvest?

Come on GGG No one want's more RNG rolling when all gear crafting and rolling in game is RNG.
it can be good but 98% of the so called "crafting" and rolling it's not good bad or compleatly unusable
very good = haters go farm mefisto 15 hours for 1 shako :D
