I think we all just want more from a currency that rare, and it feels like especially lately GGG is forgetting the 80/20 rule. Where you focus on the 80% and don't focus on the bottom 10% or the top 10% because they will both adjust naturally if you make things for the magic middle. If the base defense is filterable it's fine essentially eliminating 1/15 or 1/20 rares I need to pick up. If it's not, then this whole system will basically be disregarded and most people will just pick up what they need and that's it because efficiency is still king at the end of the day. Please quit making overtly complex decisions that require more clicking or thinking about what's on the ground, we have plenty to think about without another layer added.

Good thing I already jumped into D2R. I was a fervant player up since beta up until last league which includes, yet again, more unplayable screen cluster, content and items I will never (or very rarely) see, and now with scourge, more content.
Why not develop on current content? Expand the story of existing protagonists and make something interesting out of it? Instead of constantly flinging new stuff to your player base which we pile over the already very busy PoE agenda???? I think I haven't delved since the past two leagues... Until this business/release model changes, your player base will constantly lower in numbers. I used to enjoy this game so badly... |

Two suggestions:
1. Postpone this specific implementation until the following patch (retain the veiled craft modifier, remove the base stat randomization). With the massive changes to armour and evasion, it's best to test out how well those systems work compared to ES before trying to throw in another variable. 2. Instead of making a super rare sacred orb, instead have Hillock and Pristine Fossils create/improve base stat randomization. Following which, retain the veiled craft modifier since getting over 20% base would be significantly more difficult outside of said crafts, and the veiled craft modifier does remove a potential crafting suffix in exchange for the balance. This would give us more options, and while also does make optimal gear easier to get (and technically slightly higher), it's still gated behind existing RNG mechanics if you want perfect crafts (via hillock and/or pristine fossils crafts). They are never gonna fix the trade bots. If you're affected as a casual, this game is not for you.
Your purpose as a casual is to serve the trade bots or flip bots. While the main accounts blast content. Or you could devote your life and put kids up for adoption to become that 1%. |
