Which new Ascendancy classes would you like to see in PoE2?
They already teased a ranger specialising in ballista's: looking forward to that!
I would also like a ranger that focuses on "animals" like spectral wolves, spiders and maybe a new animal summon. A blacksmith class would also be great: a character that can add jewellery items to the Animate Guardian and with some nodes for blade skills. Could be Shadow. What are you hoping for? I think a Crossbow class would be cool or atleast the item. Same with spears.

Vampire
Bloodlust - Gain 1 Frenzy, Endurance or Power charge when you hit an enemy on low life. Victorious Flight - Your attack speed, cast speed and movement speed cannot be reduced by map modifiers or any debuffs. Werewolf Savage Form - + 50% critical strike chance for each nearby enemy. Scarecrow - Enemies far away takes 12% increased damage. Your attack skills have 12% chance to cause monsters to flee. Druid Treant Armour - You and nearby allies have + 5% physical damage reduction. Bear Skills - You have 10% increased action speed. Alchemist Barter - Your golems are improved but grant no buffs. Improved golems have tripled base stats and a new skill, Rock Throw. Rock Throw have different element based on your golem, an enemy hit by Rock Throw have -8% elemental or physical reduction for 8 seconds. Divine Solvent - Your light radius is increased by 10%. + 20% quantity of items dropped by enemies slain by you. Inventor Battery - You have + 400 maximum mana. 6% increased mana efficiency of skills. Vaccination - Elemental and damaging ailments have 30% reduced duration on you. |

We also saw a new Witch Ascendancy centered around lightning damage, which gives me hope that we'll see an Ascendancy for each element. It may "force" us more into a certain Ascendancy based on the skill of choice, but it would still be interesting.
Personally, I would also like to see an Ascendancy centered around strike skills. I love the strike skill playstyle, but we all know that the archetype is in dire need of some love. Sometimes, just sometimes, you should really consider adapting to the world, instead of demanding that the world adapts to you.

Would be cool and very different to see a class with a Wrench; The Mechanic. The way the class works is, he levels up by repairing cars. He runs a oil change spot in the main hubs of every act. Once he has changed the oil of a vehicle he drives around and drops of goody-bags. So he is kind of a support role.
This could be a very unique style of play. Like for example if a car is an Audi and requires synthetic oil only and you put in regular by accident, you blow up and die. |

Dont think it will happen but maybe in one form or another:
Something with pure debuffs and minimal damage. Kinda a warlock class and opposite (from a narrative and mechanical standpoint) to the Guardian. Masterpiece of 3.16 lore "A mysterious figure appears out of nowhere, trying to escape from something you can't see. The Dilettante (Shadow Ascendancy): 1) Damage conversion from physical damage to other elements doesn't apply. Your physical skills will deal full physical damage. __________ 2) Each second, nearby enemies are inflicted with 1 corrosion debuff for 10 seconds. 25% to apply corrosion on hit. __________ 3) Restrictions to melee weapons don't apply. You can use any skill that requires a certain class of melee weapons with any melee weapon. __________ 4) The damage of your Blade Skills is not based on the skill gem's damage anymore, but on your weapon's damage. Blade skills are scaled by attack modifiers instead of spell modifiers. 300% more damage with blade skills. __________ 5) You can add rings, an amulet and a belt to your Animate Guardian. When your Animate Guardian dies, 50% chance for each of his items to drop on the ground. __________ 6) You can summon more than 1 Animate Guardian. The number of Animate Guardians is determined by your maximum number of Golems. Cannot summon non-animated minions. __________ 7) You take 20% less physical damage if your energy shield is higher than your life. You take 20% less physical damage if you haven't been hit recently. __________ 8) Regenerate 10% of all damage avoided (by evading/blocking/dodging) as life over 4 seconds __________ |
