An Overview of Upcoming Changes

32x9 :sadge:
I remember the days when getting a exalt drop was exciting. Now you get one to drop and it's depressing.
as a hardcore casual (4.2k hours and never bothered with endgame/t15+ bosses, sorry, make endgame involve less fiddling with maps and currency and i might come around) i think things are in great shape tbh. either y'all buffed loot too much in response to the criticism or my luck is crazy good this league. not that i'm complaining. league mechanics are way more fun than the last one, too.

don't take the trolls too seriously, it doesn't really need saying but this community is unfathomably toxic and prone to groupthink on balance stuff, i'm sure you know all this but it's been so wildly overblown that i feel obligated to say it. it's fine. some of the changes weren't ideal but it's mostly worked out now and folks just haven't stopped being mad yet. people have a hard time turning that off in general and it's a hundred times worse on the internet, especially with other internet people edging them on - not defending em but i know i've fallen into the same behavior in the past.

glad you're nerfing the instant death lightning clones though. i've gotten pretty used to at least one unavoidable instakill mob whenever you introduce new stuff but i'm always happy when you finally fix it <3

oh and since i'm posting here i do need to remind you that adding an endless delve custom league option would be amazing, i promise i won't complain no matter how little it gets balanced. i just want to cyclone through a bottomless mine for a month or two without messing with maps or trade or anything, y'know?
Hello, casual player here.

First, I want to give credit where it's due. This announcement touches on all the major problems created by the 3.19 patch, as well as some other issues. (Lightning mirages have been a huge problem, especially for melee for a long time.)

As someone who logged off the Friday night of release very disappointed, and have not logged back in since, I want to share my thoughts on the three specific areas I am looking at:

Archnemesis Rares:

Of the three I list this is where you have put in the most work and I hope this next round of changes does more to address the problem. Even though loot is still an issue this is by far the most unenjoyable aspect because we can't play the game properly.

Loot:

I haven't tested the changes implemented last week, but at release it felt terrible. I've followed avid players who are much better at the game than I and they are saying it's still a problem. We should not be punished for optimizing our gameplay. Conversely, optimizing gameplay should not involve swapping to MF gear.

Harvest and Crafting:

To put it bluntly, the changes to Harvest are terrible. Moreover, these changes were not clearly defined in the patch notes. It felt as though they were intentionally hidden along with the loot changes to keep players excited about the new league when otherwise we would have been up in arms. (Not saying this was intentional, but it felt that way.)

Harvest, in it's current state is utterly meaningless. It further exacerbates the uselessness of picking up any rares as now there is almost no way to improve them. I think the team needs to have an honest discussion on whether they even want Harvest in the game. If so, change it to be meaningful and accessible. If not, remove it with a plan to address off-the-ground items and crafting.

Conclusion:

I, along with everyone who has been playing this game for years appreciates the hard work and creative energy put into PoE -now, and in years past. We want the game to be fun now and into the future. However there is (and should be) an imbalance of power between players and developers. Outside of words, we the players only have one option to show our displeasure -to withhold our time and money. I can only speak for myself. I will not play PoE or spend money if it is not in an enjoyable state. I will not play if the development team makes it clear they believe we need to spend progressively more time for progressively less results.

I hope this is a turning point for GGG to rethink how their vision of PoE fits with the actual reality of what the game is, and what is an enjoyable experience.
Thank you because the state of the game is absolutely horrible
As always, nothing to be happy about, this should not be a problem/s in the first place. GGG should try something different, instead of doing things that people dont like and monitoring them for their reaction, try doing things that people already like or dont change them...

Do not try to push things that are not good and wait and see, if someone will notice and then ''buff'' things 5% of what they were before, so you can say ''see, we listen and we buff/fix things'', no you do not, your broke them first.

Sounds solid, hoping this marks a turning point back to where PoE was

Hopefully
Hi, i hope that in the upcoming changes, take in consideration the insane damage that some rare Archnemesis mobs do.

"And if you gaze for long into an abyss, the abyss gazes also into you"
"We are planning to limit the number of Archnemesis mods that can spawn on certain rare monsters. For example, those that spawn additional monsters in boss fights and those that can't drop items."

Thank God... Blue harvest boss took me 45mins to down spawned nothin but uber crushclaws and vipers back to back, harder than any feared fight...
This is literally all I wanted. So long as everything listed here is considered seriously, I'm happy.
A week may be a lot of time at league start for a player, but we must understand a week is very little time for a dev team. I'm willing to be patient if we have this level of communication.
