Yesterday, we launched our The Forbidden Sanctum expansion. We'll be updating this thread live throughout the day with any relevant info you may need about the expansion's deployment. Sanctum Day 11


Dec 20, 2022 4:37 PM (EST) - A patch preview for 3.20.1 has been posted. We're planning to deploy it by the end of this week and it includes the new set of Core Supporter Packs, new Sanctum content and various improvements and bug fixes.

Dec 15, 2022 7:31 PM (EST) - We're aware of the Recipe in Crimson Township not giving a recipe. The recipe should not be there and should be removed in 3.20.1.

Dec 15, 2022 3:31 PM (EST) - Next week we're planning to deploy the 3.20.1 update which improves the current Kirac's Vault pass, introduces new Sanctum content (including Unique Relics and their special rewards), and the 2023 Core Supporter Packs. Find out more in this news post.



Sanctum Day 5


Dec 14, 2022 8:34 PM (EST) - We're aware of an issue where Labyrinth Trials are not spawning naturally in maps. This should be fixed in the next restart patch.

Dec 14, 2022 5:40 PM (EST) - We're aware of the following issues related to challenges, and will have a hotfix for them sometime today a fix for these will require a restart patch, and should be included in the next one:
  • The "Complete the Final Opulent Ritual in a map" challenge can't be completed
  • The "Complete Cartography" challenge is bugged for some players

Dec 14, 2022 4:25 PM (EST) - Patch 3.20.0b has been released which contains improvements for Sanctum, including an increase to the pickup range of Aureus Coins, alongside controller improvements, and bug fixes of both small- and medium-importance.

The full notes have been included below:

Sanctum improvements and fixes
  • Gaining increases to your maximum Resolve now heals your Resolve by that same amount.
  • Relics are now able to be dropped onto the ground by players, though these still remain Account-bound to the player that dropped them.
  • The pickup range of Aureus Coins has been increased, and you're now able to pick them up slightly sooner after they drop.
  • Reduced the damage dealt to minions for some of the skills used by the Sanctum end boss in their true form.
  • Infernal Sentinel Sanctum Guard's Cleave attack now fires three times fewer projectiles.
  • Increased the radius for triggering Divinia's Act 2 quest in The Forest Encampment.
  • Improved the warning text that is displayed when you try to enter the final reward room in Sanctum.
  • Fixed a bug where images of the Masked Combatant Sanctum Guard could spawn Aureate Gargoyles, or spawn Volatiles on death, if you had the relevant affliction.
  • Fixed a bug where interacting with a Trial of Ascendancy Plaque in an area could abandon your Sanctum Room in that area.
  • Fixed a bug where some league encounters, such as Ritual or Incursion, could not be started if you had already stored a Sanctum Room for later in that area.
  • Fixed a bug where Sanctified Relics could be placed in in slots intended for non-Sanctified Relics. Sanctified Relics placed in these slots had no effect on characters.

Ruthless-specific changes
  • Increased the chance for Sanctum rooms that may offer items on completion to offer items in Ruthless.
  • Fixed a bug where Sanctum challenges were able to be completed in Ruthless Private Leagues.
  • Fixed a bug where the "Legion Sergeant Rarity" Ruthless Atlas Passive was missing its description.

Controller-specific changes
  • Improved the user interface for the Relic Altar and Locker for controller input mode.
  • Re-combined the "Compare Item Descriptions" and "Show Advanced Item Descriptions" behaviour into "Highlight Items and Objects" for when you are using a controller as your input method.
  • Fixed a bug in controller input mode where attempting to move an item out of the Relic Locker could sometimes try to discard the item instead.
  • Fixed a client crash that could occur when filtering the Atlas Passive Tree while using a controller.

Other bug fixes
  • Fixed a bug where the Revives Allies on Death, Temporarily Revives, and Mirror Images monster modifiers could appear on monsters revived in Ritual encounters.
  • Fixed a bug where Metamorphs could have the Mirror Images modifier.
  • Fixed a bug where the monster modifier that causes monsters to block attacks was missing a proper name. Happy name day, Stalwart.

You will need to restart your client to receive the client-side changes in this patch, and enter new areas for the server-side changes.



Sanctum Day 4


Dec 13, 2022 9:09 PM (EST) - We're aware of the "Terrain generator for client is out of sync" error and are investigating the issue.

Dec 13, 2022 5:10 PM (EST) - The following bugs will be fixed in an upcoming Hotfix:
  • Inspiration loss isn't being updated properly - Fixed.
  • Olroth's encounter isn't spawning Explosives, causing it to be uncompletable - Fixed.
  • The Voidforge reward in the Vault Pass can't be accessed - Fixed.

We're aware that the Infernal Sentinel guard's damage in the Sanctum is a bit too high. This will be adjusted in a future patch.

We've also received reports to check that the Dead Reckoning recipe is working. We can confirm that it does work, it just hasn't been found yet. Good luck!



Sanctum Day 3


Dec 12, 2022 9:00 PM (EST) - We've gone through your feedback regarding picking up Aureus Coins and will make the following improvements in a future patch/hotfix:
  • We're slightly reducing the delay before Aureus Coins can be picked up
  • We're slightly increasing the pickup and attraction range of Aureus Coins

Dec 12, 2022 7:50 PM (EST) - The following bugs should be fixed in a hotfix later today:
  • Vaal Flicker Strike and Vaal Cleave sometimes causes crashes - Fixed.
  • Delirium isn't pausing while in the Sanctum - Fixed.

The following bugs are still on our radar and will be fixed in a future patch:
  • Soul Mantle is not inflicting a Hex on you when your totems die - Fixed.
  • The Olroth encounter cannot be completed due to explosives not spawning - Fixed.
  • Kalandra challenge rewards are locked at the lowest tier This should be fixed now, but please let us know if you still encounter this issue.
  • Unique Flasks and Jewels can't be upgraded in the Temple of Atzoatl's Apex of Sacrifice
  • Sometimes the "Divinia's Gift" boon doesn't work - Fixed.
  • Sometimes "End of Sanctum" rewards aren't being granted - Fixed.
  • Izaro is inflicting bleeds with unintended durations - Fixed.

We've also investigated a few Hex related reports and can conclude the following:
  • We clarified earlier that Curses would expire when you die, however we should have further clarified that this behaviour also applies to anything that dies/expires after applying a Curse. This means that Traps with Curses are currently working as intended.
  • When a Hex under the effect of Cursed Ground would be consumed via Hexblast, the curse is not reapplied. This matches behaviour with things such as Lightning Conduit with shocks from Skitterbots and is also how it would have worked with the old Doomsday keystone passive. While this is the intended behaviour, we may revisit its mechanics in the future.
  • Hexblast consumes the Hex with the lowest duration remaining. For Cursed Ground, the Hex lasts as long as the ground does so it effectively has no duration for this case.




Sanctum Day 2


Dec 12, 2022 12:26 AM (EST) - We've just deployed a patch that includes the following fixes:
  • Massively reduced the non-resolve damage of the Infernal Sentinel Sanctum Guard. We will address its projectile shotgunning behaviour in another patch.
  • Fixed a bug with the "Defeat Harbingers" challenge where non-Harbinger monsters counted towards it.
  • Fixed an instance crash at Dannig that occured in Ruthless.

You will need to enter a new area for the changes to take effect.

Dec 11, 2022 9:45 PM (EST)- We are aware of an issue where you cannot upgrade Soul Catcher or Temple Jewels at the Apex of Sacrifice.

Dec 11, 2022 8:36 PM (EST) - We've just deployed a patch that includes the following fixes:
  • Re-enabled Eldritch Embers and Ichors and fixed a bug where they could have the wrong outcome when used on gloves.
  • Fixed a visual bug where clicking on the Sanctum Map multiple times would appear to duplicate various properties.

You will need to restart your game client for the clientsides changes to take effect, or enter a new area for the serverside ones to.

Dec 11, 2022 7:44 PM (EST) - We've just deployed a patch that includes the following fixes:
  • Fixed a bug where the sockets and links Betrayal Crafting options for Leo were not working.
  • Fixed the bug we mentioned yesterday where Smite was attacking way too fast.
  • Fixed a visual bug where Ritual deferred rewards could show NPC vendor purchase prices.

You will need to restart your game client for the clientsides changes to take effect, or enter a new area for the serverside ones to. (Both, if you're using Smite!)

Dec 11, 2022 5:45 PM (EST) - We are aware of an issue where players can't click the crafting recipe in the Crimson Township Map.

Dec 11, 2022 5:36 PM (EST) - We are aware of an issue where Malicious Intent is not currently applying to Hexes. Edit: It is not updating correctly, but it can apply, you just need to unsocket and resocket the curse after assigning the notable for it to work.

Dec 11, 2022 5:33 PM (EST) - Olroth, Origin of the Fall, one of the Expedition bosses, currently has a bug preventing completion of this encounter. - Fixed

Dec 11, 2022 5:25 PM (EST) - We are aware of reports that Iridescent microtransactions are stuck at the first tier.

Dec 11, 2022 5:25 PM (EST) - We are aware of reports that Ritual rewards are asking for payment in Chaos or Divine Orbs. This bug is purely visual. It is not possible to pay for Ritual Rewards with anything other than tribute. . This has been fixed.

Dec 11, 2022 1:30 PM (EST) - We have disabled Eldritch Ichors and Eldritch Embers until we can fix a bug with them. This is fixed now



Sanctum Day 1


Dec 11, 2022 12:22 AM (EST) - We are aware of a bug with Smite where it's attacking way too fast. Please note that we will fix this - don't rush to build around the broken behaviour. This has been fixed.

Dec 11, 2022 12:22 AM (EST) - We've just deployed a patch that includes the following fixes:
  • There's now a Relic Locker in the Sanctum subarea where you pick what room to do next.
  • Disabled the Sustenance Divination Card, which was not intended to drop.
  • Clarified some wording on the character selection screen, so that it's clear that the league filter is used to filter your existing characters rather than select what league you are making a character in.
  • Fixed the name of the Volcanic Fissure enchantment.
  • Fixed the ordering of mods on Annihilation's Approach.
  • Fixed some incorrect voice acting.

  • Fixed a bug where custom item filter sounds didn't have any volume.
  • Fixed a bug where shields could drop with four sockets in Ruthless.
  • Fixed a bug where you could combine Gilded Scarabs up to Winged Scarabs.

Dec 10, 2022 6:50 PM (EST) - We've just deployed a patch that includes the following fixes:
  • Fixed a bug that would reset the number of Sanctum Rooms you had saved up when you failed a run.
  • Fixed a bug that would hide the "Invite to Party", "Whisper", "Trade" and "Invite to Guild" for other players who were not your contacts.
  • Fixed a rare client crash and a common one that could occur when interacting with the Relic Locker.

Dec 10, 2022 6:44 PM (EST) - We have confirmed an issue that is sometimes preventing custom item filter sounds from playing. This issue has been fixed internally and will be deployed in an upcoming patch. This has been fixed.

Dec 10, 2022 6:33 PM (EST) - The fix for the social menu when right clicking characters will be deployed in a coming patch. In the meantime, you can use "/invite PLAYERNAME" in order to create parties. This issue has been fixed.

Dec 10, 2022 6:18 PM (EST) - Some players are reporting that they can't make characters in the Sanctum league. Please try hitting 'create' on the character selection screen rather than filtering by the league dropdown before a character is created. - Fixed.

Dec 10, 2022 6:15 PM (EST) - We are aware of an issue where the Capture glyph in the Sanctum is playing the wrong voiceline. - Fixed.

Dec 10, 2022 6:12 PM (EST) - We are aware of an issue where some shields are dropping with four sockets in Ruthless. This has been fixed.

Dec 10, 2022 4:55 PM (EST) - Some players have reported not being able to place Relics on the Altar. It's not possible to change your Altar during your Sanctum run. You should be able to place Relics in your Relic locker, however.

Dec 10, 2022 4:17 PM (EST) - We are investigating an issue with the Paris and Milan gateways.

Dec 10, 2022 4:06 PM (EST) - Players have reported receiving skill gems with quality higher than 20% - this is a rare monster modifier reward that applies to items but should not apply to gems. We will fix this. This is now fixed.

Dec 10, 2022 4:03 PM (EST) - Players have reported a bug where saved Sanctum rooms are being lost upon run failure. We will fix this. This issue has been fixed.

Dec 10, 2022 3:56 PM (EST) - The new Triple Actions rare monster mod causes a stun after its barrage of casts. Headhunter users have given feedback that this disrupts their gameplay unless they spec into stun mitigation. We will disable this mod from spawning on monsters while we work out a solution. This temporary fix will be included in our upcoming patch. This is now fixed.

Dec 10, 2022 3:45 PM (EST) - We are aware of an issue where rare monsters can occasionally drop a six socket item too early. This is now fixed.

Dec 10, 2022 3:35 PM (EST) - We are investigating an issue where players have limited menu options when right clicking on another player's character name. This issue has been fixed.
