Next Expansion Release Date
im fine with 4+ mnth leagues but the leagues themselves need to deliver more content. Crucible is the worst league in years when it comes to that. Even Kalandra was kinda ok, as you had those ethereal reflection and paradise tiles popping every now and then.
Crucible takes a lot of time to charge up, the mobs don't drop any loot, mechanic itself does bring significant character changes, but most players just buy the base item with desired crucible nodes and go from there. The special crucible "map" is the most underwhelming and disappointing experience. I was expecting something like expedition logbooks - but nope, this isn't even close to that. They need all hands on deck and can't make Heist-quality league every time? Expand fucking Sanctum then. Add more reward possibilities, add more layers, add uber version of this, add more unique relics. And for a good measure, bring back some old league mechanic that isn't core yet. Sentinel for example. Let us play expanded sanctum league with Sentinels and recombinators. That's good enough and people will play 4 months. |

" Curious as why the 27th is being mentioned when they've said the 18th? |

Thx for the info. How about Legacy II before PoE2? :)
Leaguestones were great. Songs are like knights. They need to be covered in metal.

4.7 month aint gonna cut it guys. Next time increase shitty league length to 1 year. And crucible is a joke. Copy paste monsters with 1 new map that can be skippable. Here is the idea for the next league. Put passive tree on trinkets. Boom, best idea.

unless there is a HUGE buff for juggs, the Chieftain Rework will require a hefty compensation for the forbbiden flesh/flame investment in Valako's node.

" Sounds like progression fatigue. For those players I'd suggest just trying to play PoE2 for fun. It's not on the devs when folks get burnt out because they're playing towards goals. They can only make a game and its up to the players how they approach it. If you throw 10 exalts at a build, that build will do 95% of the game's content with ease. The only thing the meta introduces is the idea "Huh, this build can perform with only 9 exalts invested, 8 exalts, 7 exalts..." and so on until we've got the most efficient builds, but the others that don't fall into the meta can still do just fine with enough currency put into them. Personally, my only hope is that PoE2 raises the floor/lowers the ceiling so hyper-curated/refined builds aren't necessarily needed to do certain content and folks have a bit more room to wiggle in without severely handicapping themselves. |
