We Are Taking A Temporary News Break

The reason why they've gone silent is because founding members of the company and lead staff have been quitting and jumping ship before POE2 happens. You don't need to be a genius to see where this is all heading.

I'd like to think I'm pretty plugged into my main game, and would know who you're talking about.

Care to fiil us in on the multiple founding people and multiple lead staff who left? maybe some links?

As far I can can tell the last publically notable GGG employee to leave was Erik half a year ago apparently to go do work on a card game for some "NFT slash crypto" (LOL its' always both of those things isn't it?) game dev or some shit.

One of my biggest requests/hopes for POE II is proper multiplayer play like Diablo III did (D4.. man I dont know what those guys are even smoking).

If you guys can make it so that we can actually play with random people as easy as D3 does it.. that would be one of the biggest moves for POE imo.

+1 Agree, spot on, the only thing I miss in Poe is proper multiplayer with RANDOMS!, today it's only for teams!
Cut the rarity/quantity bonus which are today wich in theory only benefit the one started the map/group. Make the drop individual instead so everybody can get their part of the cake!. It's the only reason I keep playing singleplayer in this game. Why wasting my time playing with others when I litterally get nothing out of it....
can't wait for more news. amazing game

I can certainly understand, but I'm not sure I consider the posting of fan art to be all that taxing on staff. I wish GGG would get a creative counsel to handle stuff like fan art/etc, allowing the dev team to focus on what's of vital importance.

I could scare up 50+ fan art posts in about an hour. I'm certainly not special, and that's my point. Plenty of people could do it, so I don't fully understand the issue there.

Hopefully, the game optimization will do a better job than Diablo IV. I'm looking forward to this game. Support the development team.

Well if it can be done so trivially, it's hardly worth paying some external company's profit-making rates to do it, which means doing it internally. But then it also means that they're not going to hire someone to do just that thing, and so that person is going to have other skills and responsibilities they can be pulled towards at important times.

Luckily, finding fanart not being a specialised skill would also mean it's not particularly important for GGG to be posting it. Interested people can find their own without trouble, no doubt.

I am actually not that hyped for POE2, since their intentions indeed seem to make the game slower. Slower game means there are much limited means to go 'faster', which will ultimately pidgeonhole players into overperforming builds. But I believe in GGG's passion towards their game, and if they don't get it perfectly right at first they will eventually progress to do so. The playerbase is loyal enough to wait I think.

I am quite eager for multiple 6-links setups and some more visual clarity tho.

when will they give information about whether the Crucible tree will already remain on existing items in the form of legacy? what was it like after the league of Kalandra, Scourge, Synthesis?

Uhh, Chris said in in the QnA section after the league reveal...

The trees are staying, and you won't be able to interact with it after the league ends.

Expecting better optimization here? Goooood luck, they will never match Diablo IV or even 3 optimization, they're far better.
