Yeah, there's some exponential shit going on there. Hell, is it really time to make a build using Frenzy as a main skill? Remember I tried that like 8 years ago, when Melee Splash wasn't on the tree and +1 to strikes wasn't a thing.

Frenzy has been my primary skill (bladestorm as back up) for years. Now I might be a little bit dangerous. Love that upgrade like crazy.
Perforate got numerically buffed and it longer requires you to change stance to get the extra spikes, you just get them for free.
Just did some calcs on the new Blade flurry.

WITH a 30% ashes, it's a 45% More damage multiplier as it's going from 20% more per stage, to 32.5% more using the new quality. The final release is going to be much heartier.

theory crafting against 100 damage example.

Normal 20% more per stage ends up around 298% of original damage at 6 stages.

with 32.5% more (using ashes and new quality) it ends up at 541% of original damage

We probably can't get the 0.5% so not sure here but yeah, it looks like a considerable buff.

I'm struggling to come up with new goals to keep me playing this game.
Ive always wanted to play cobra lash, just hard to scale past a certain point.

Now its 8% more damage with ailments per remaining chain.

If you get 80% quality, it can also chain up to +8 times, on top of 5. So, thats 12*32 or 96% more damage.

That sounds like a lot but its still poison without a huge base damage on the skill.

Also at the cost of your body armor, which will be massively expensive, and a support slot... but could be playable finally.

Overall it is a slight nerf to the normal hit based Cobra lash because the loss of a chain is so big. But as you say, if someone decided to play a poison variant (unlikely but I suppose anything is possible) then yes it is much stronger. I am playing it again for the 2nd league in a row (feel free to check out my character) but I doubt it will be as good depending on how the charms line up - if we get +1 Power Charge charms then it will be very good but I'm not holding my breath.

It was unlikely before, but not anymore. Posion CL is viable now thanks to this change and Im thinking about leaguestarting poison CL.
For the frenzy enjoyers, Frenzy hollow palm with Utulus's is really quite stacked and will be even better with that juicy quality bonus - If you prefer more glass and a bigger cannon I'd expect the regular full stacker version to be absolutely nuts at high investment.
