lol have mercy we have D4 for that giga casual type

PhD? If people would spend 10-30min of actually trying to learn the beauty of this game...

It's always shocking to me that people do not want to learn, they just want everything handed to them with cringe tutorials "press SPACE to jump" LOL

they need that nice nice $$$$$ from casuals

I'm certain that they get nice nice green papers from fanatics alike (i won't say that about myself but i spend 30-70 bucks every now and then)

i am guilty as accused your honor :). thats why i stopped all my support going forward. since exilecon 2023
Aww but please do look at their effort. 3.23 content is free and is bigger than D4 game
Also when in diablo if you wanted to play a Necro you'd need to fkin buy it for 29.99$ ROFLMAO

Either they are doing stuff as we want them or not, GGG still deserves our support, they earned it through sweat and blood

Every 3-4 months when a new league starting, i feel like a teenager who goes back home from school to play games with my brother and friends. You cannot buy this feeling.

Path of Exile will forever be in my heart
Poe 2 is looking like Diablo 4 and its absolutely disgusting.

Insane how they can go from one of the greatest games of all time, to bottom of the barrel in one sequel.

Thank god PoE will stay separate.

What the hell are you smoking GGG?

Hey

After watching the mercenary announcement. I could not help getting the feeling that classes are locked to certain archetypes. I am aware they said in poe 2 you can mix and match as you want. But if the ascendency classes are locked to certain types of weapons. It is limited what you can do. I did like to hear what people think. And if there are any information that could suggest otherwise.

Ascendandies are not lock behind a certain archetype, but they do promote said archetype. In the same manner Elementalist promotes elemental damage, or that PathFinder promotes potion play.

Of course, Elementalist and Pathfinder are very generic in a sens. Many build can make use of elemental damage enhancement and many build can use permanent potion.

Now, we're talking about a class, but let's not forget PoE2 has twice as many class, minus 1. Therefor, it makes sens that class are a bit more specific than in PoE1.

We've been shown that the mercenary will focus on crossbow. It just means that generic/specific crossbow related buff will be present on the mercenary. But there might be plenty of things accessible elsewere in the tree as well as in ascendancies that a crossbow user might want to use.

A good example would perhaps be Champion using Corrupting Fever with Bow.
On a first glance, champion is built toward melee. I mean, half the ascendancies are Fortitude and Impale related, which are melee restricted (maybe not impal i'm not 100% sure). Yet, we've seen a champion, with a bow, dealing bleed. Like, everything it isn't really meant to do on a first glance.

I do not see why this wouldn't be appliable to PoE2.

yeah, it's like diablo 4 and diablo 4 is much more casual friendly than path of exile.

the fact that you have to move around to dodge stuff during boss fights doesn't mean that it's not casual friendly. it's not like casual means handicapped or braindead, casuals have hands and they can press buttons, but casuals won't spend 2 hours in path of building to understand how they can be powerful enough to brute force their way through every mechanic with raw power.
