Who at GGG hates Spectral Throw

People will shit on you if you say something, and they'll tell you ''play what you want, you don't need to care about what others play''.
No hope really.

Ofc. You can see same thing from RF community when you tell them that RF nerf was nothing suprising. Sadly GGG seems to not care that TS is meta since ancient times (pretty much since Prophecy league when they introduced Reach of the Council) and they dont do anything about it.
Does anyone know if i will be able to use my MTX on the new trans gems? i have EK and ST mtx and i would like to know if i will be able to use on trans gems and not only on the standard versions of the gems.......
Not confirmed yet but 99% chances they share MTX.

It's confirmed; I think they said so in the live stream. The same with vaal version: All trans gems (that originally have a vaal version) can be corrupted, but the vaal version will be the 'original' vaal skill.

On topic: We knew that melee weapon attack skills would draw the short straw regarding the Transfigured gems. A LOT of spell skills have several transfigured version, while 99% of attack gems have only 1 option. And while there are a couple of interesting attack skills, most of them (in my eyes) are a bit clunky. It's pretty clear where their priority lies. But I guess it's a "me problem", as I actually had my hopes up, as this would be the perfect time to actually balance (melee) weapon attacks. I know ST isn't melee, but it does require a melee weapon.

Sometimes, just sometimes, you should really consider adapting to the world, instead of demanding that the world adapts to you.

People dont realize alot of spells have 2 new versions only because tehy removed something from normal skill and added it to new one. Like lingering blades to EK, ability to cast from Frostbolts to Nova/Vortex etc.

Had/have is pretty irrelevant. They had and have more options, more work put into them and more alternatives - more priority. You can of course explain that with "more people are playing them, so of course they get more attention" and you'd be right. But the question we should ask, is why more people are playing them. And in 9/10 situations, balance is the answer. Legion league is a pretty solid proof that if melee skills are strong enough, nothing is stopping them from becoming META - people want to play them, just not despite of damage/clear/power/whatever.

I blame the infinite scaling of PoE. Because with mirrors and tons of divines, melee isn't bad - and can be scaled far. But the entry-to-mid level of most melee builds isn't where it should be, in my mind.

But hey, there are some melee trans gems that seem OK; Lightning Strike and Infernal Blow comes to mind, as they are mechanically changed. I would love to see more mechanical changes, and not just "build it a little bit different to achieve the same play style".

I disagree that melee builds entry level is high. You can make pretty good budget build with Stargorfe or BLS (sadly not Voidforge anymore) that is able to do evertything but ubers.
