" haha I'm glad PoE and D4 can atleast agree on non-automated trading
"more fun than last epoch still
" nah not even close | |
" Playing thorns bash barb. I was actually pleasantly surprised how well they did the pit bosses. You actually have to dodge around and play tactically. The boss fights are hard but they never feel unfair where you have a feeling that you can beat it (kinda souls feeling). Normally, I feel asleep after doing a couple of grifts (yes, I still play d3) or after spamming a few maps in PoE but DIV pits never felt boring, at least not the bosses. I still feel sleepy during the rifts though. And, I had a blast with Last Epoch as well. My falconeer is just waiting for some good time in the future.
" What pit? I'm at 100 and only thing I do is stand, nuke, kill in few sec, start next. Biggest compliments for my crafted items - "bs, they must have been RMT'ed"
I'm disabled, I have rare case of semperduravera, so I can write things that may look rude, but it is because of disability - I'm forced to tell truth using words you may not like.
Obviously, it becomes trivial once you ramp up your damage and defence with fully masterworked gear.
I was trying to do early pit 30+ without any gear improvements and boss could one-shot me. That's when boss fights were a lot of fun because of the risk.
" I haven't start upgrading my gear before 60+. Bosses died sub 1sec without any gear improvements, no idea where "play tactically" would be. Might be related to one of those jokes "best build for druid? stand next to necro". Pit is copy/paste of grifts, except upgrading jewels, we upgrade gear. " Good thing pits go up to level 200. I don't think anyone has done it yet. 8 mod maps are the new alch and go.

" Some did in PTR, so probably we could expect it this season. Knowing blizzard, everyone will do pit 200 in 2-3 seasons, just like in d3. Buff 1000%, so some people would think they're getting better at the game ;) Biggest compliments for my crafted items - "bs, they must have been RMT'ed"

" Haha nice! I think we have very different playstyles when it comes to d4. I like to take things slow and steady. The whole reason I was excited about necro was that it was a walking simulator and I loved it. And that also means I'm not too keen on taking any active skills. I just want to walk around and let minions do their work keyboard-free. For this reason I took on ring of sacrilegious-something because it auto-cast three skills for me even although it is a dps decrease but huge QoL. Only time I press keyboard is to mark junk items for sale. Also, my next char thorns barb had the same idea. I just want to stand in the middle of monsters and watch them die. Then move on. Slow, but satisfying. The thing I absolutely love about pit/grifts (and it has nothing to do with d4, just in general) is that there is no loot, you just kill monsters non-stop. I just did a 70 pit with barb by just holding right-click (bash) all the way through and it felt very satisfying. Auto-targeting/moving on right-click is extremely well implemented in d4 and it lets you easily avoid any ground effects. I'd be excited about an atlas passive in PoE which says something like: Normal monsters don't drop any loot. All loot is accumulated and dropped when you kill map boss. That would be cool. |
