Zero PoE2 hype

Am I not the only one who doesn’t experience any hype around poe2?
PoE2 has been under the development for almost 8 years, and we keep waiting and waiting, they feed us some nondescript videos with very slow game mechanics, boring bosses, where you have to press a bunch of buttons to dodge. And the game is still not even beta and will probably only be released in 2 years. And in the last six months we have seen more news about PoE2 than about PoE1. I’ll also note how disgustingly the community support has become. I don't really want to see news about PoE2 when the game is still 2 years away. Just a guess, tho. " 3.25 announcement should come in a couple of weeks for you. They did accidentally set that post to live for a minute, apparently; if that's actually the date, then the next league should be live for the last week-end in July, so the announcement of the announcement should be mid-July, with the announcement itself coming a week later. Remember, remember the 6th of December...

And you'd be insane to think they were even able to THINK about PoE 2 after dropping what was easily their most ambitious expansion/update. FoO and the leagues that followed kept GGG very busy for at least two years. And when PoE 2 was announced at Exilecon 2019, it was even then not so much a new game as a revamping of the original, with a new campaign leading to the same endgame. It wasn't the game they're now developing and wouldn't be for, again, at least a year *after* ExileCon. Certain ideas that feature in PoE 2 have been on the table for a long time, but that's not the same as 'under development'. Y'all need to cool your jets over this and let them do their thing. It's not like you don't already have a whole game to play while you're waiting. It's not like you don't all complain when GGG rush things. Or when the hype falls short of the reality. Like, seriously. Realistically speaking, What. Do. You. Want? Definitely understand the frustration.
It's not that I have no hype for poe2... it just seems poe1 is in the shadow while poe2 is 100% the focus, with no release date. All I can really do is stop spending money until poe2 comes out. I'm super nervous they are going to walk back the MTX transfer thing... ESPECIALLY since this "cross-platform" purchases and knowing Sony sucks. Zero chance Sony says "oh yeah if people buy it on PC and not our store, don't pay us". |

I don’t really care for PoE2, because when it will launch, let’s be honest. It will be a bug fest and also a lack of endgame. When the wow it’s new hype is gone (that will be fast) there will be not much left at the launch.
Maybe a couple of years after the launch it will be an alternative compared to PoE 1. So, PoE 1 is still my focus. 😇 Last edited by odds on Jul 4, 2024, 12:38:43 AM

Why do you need to be hyped for a game. It will be released when they release it. Rather be hyped for the upcoming league when its info gets out.

I'm not hyped for PoE2. I'm just waiting for it, eager to try it when it is there to see if I like it.
