Mac M2 - unable to connect - disconnected from server - unable to connect to instance

Since last night NZT I haven't been able to complete login. If I do get past the login screen and click on my character, I get a "Failed to connect to instance" error.

Please help!

Same problem here.
Just tried to connect and get "Failed to connect to instance" after i selected my character.

Last night i were able to play, but since todays hotfix it isnt possible anymore.

Latest OS, checked for faulty files of PoE and even did an complete reinstall. Nothing.

If you have problems logging in as a character, try the following:
Try switching Wi-Fi to mobile Internet and an access point. After that, restart Steam and log in to the game. When it loads, try to log in as a character as quickly as possible before the gateways close - otherwise it may not connect
Once you log in to the game, go to the hideout (I did it this way to reduce lag), then switch to Wi-Fi. Your ping will go up, but this is normal - wait until you are kicked to the main one. As soon as you are kicked, try logging in as a character again, this helped me

I've been facing the same issue this morning, i tried this method and it works, connected to my mobile data hotspot, and logged in just fine.

I found a weird workaround .
I am in Russia and I switched to Russian lang in POE and it works after restart
Other languages did not work unfortunatelly

Same, cant connect, game just crashes while "loading". Tried the hotspot thing but it does nothing.

same here.. MacBook m3 max.. no way to connect :/

Accrross the board connection issues with Steam Users regardless of the OS platform.
I could imagine that at least 1/4 to 1/3rd of the customer base
comes from Steam users. Don't need to see the KPI numbers to figure that
math problem.
Basically GGG is PURGING money by not escalating the issue.
OSI model would suggest the issues are layer 3 through 7 of the OSI.

I if was an investor or board member of GGG, Heads would be rolling!
POE has lost a large chunk of profit from bad management
And the balls to launch POE2 is down right laughable at this point.

Please GGG create a P1 ticket and get this issue resolved
for the cliental that use Steam.
