I have the same issue, I tried to remove Poe and then reinstall
I'm still having the same problem though

I have temporary fix for this issue. It happened to me multiple times already and fix always work.
1. Go to your install PoE folder (ex. D:\Grinding Gear Games\Path of Exile)
2. You should have two files when error occur:
a) PathOfExile.exe (.exe is not in file name)
b) PathOfExile.tmp (.tmp is next to file name)
3. Delete file (b) with .tmp extension and change name of (a) file or delete one letter(like me).
4. Run file (a) with changed name to create new original PoE file.
5. You can delete (a) file with changed name now or next time when error occur.
6. Game will work until not, back to point 1. when it happens again.

Not worked for me, even i dont have that file. Tried to create manually, file deleted when i execute launcher.
Well, restarted PC and done. Now its working.
