Congrats GGG - The least interesting part of POE, is the base POE game itself.

Drop rates in general were nuked from orbit for T16 and below when necropolis and T17 (3.2.4) came out. There were numerous anecdotal complaint posts since that time which have dwindled out probably because the affected people largely gave up and quit. There appears to be minimal change in this regard this patch:

- Zero or minimal/low investment map/league mechanics are pointless, a joke. They might as well not even be there.
- Alch and go is pointless. Corrupted 8 mod maps are barely better.
- Chaos drops are like divine drops, jeweler/chromatic orbs are the new chaos orbs.
- The mountain of garbage rare items stretches into another universe.
- Campaign drops = lol, you think you deserve drops for a tutorial you peasant?

In summary, play the few number of builds that can do T17 with any reliability or go find another game to play because its unclear who modern POE is designed for anymore.

This feels like a self-inflicted wound.

There may not be a right way to play, but there certainly are more and less efficient ways to play.

There is always SSF, if worrying about what everyone else is doing is upsetting OP so much.

I still don't understand how people unironically say things like this. The days of logging onto a game and being wowed by the menu music and jumping for joy when you beat Act 1 were gone when we turned 12. Games like PoE are most fun when you continuously accumulate power and wealth, and there's (always going to be) better ways of doing that than any other method. GGG's challenge is to make most methods more or less the same, so everyone can "play how they want." But instead there's methods that are miles and miles and miles ahead of the others, and no one in their right mind would spend more time to wind up at the same place (I will never play SSF)

It's amazing you can write a paragraph where petty much every sentence is incorrect. YOU think like this. Methods lol. Your goals and expectations are yours alone.

Talking about low investment:

I recombined a wand that would have cost me some

+ I have gotten 4 single divs so far from low value crop shipments(watch out for crop demands that give %) on top of 2 good lvl 86 6 link bases and a suppress tatoo.

This is just a free Bonus to mapping this league

It doesn't get more low investment than that as far as i am concerned, since you pick up the gold automatically when you do a map and the shipments run when you are afk/offline.

You totally overexaggerate with your complains. Just sell your darrrn t 17s and don't use the scarabs that are super expensive(how about you sell them aswell???)

Affliction is (mostly) gone. Smile because it happened, don't cry because it's over.

€: Oh and then you get a free mod on your weapon, e.g. 28% spell damage on your wand for a lousy 6 life runes. Very low invesment free stuff from the league mechanic and some players just cry because there is also a higher more expensive option that they can't afford(yet), cmon guys...

Buddy, I'm always talking about standard to standard loot drop comparisons, not the league modes themselves. That includes standard affliction to standard necropolis to standard SOK patch drop comparisons. Even for my casual scrub self I played enough between standard affliction and standard necropolis patches to see T16 and below drop rates nuked from orbit.

Scarabs are a great system. I have to feed them into the map device every time. They trade for nothing or they are out of my league, and usually the net positive effect on my map reward system for plugging in said scarabs, such as triple strongbox scarabs (on top of full strongbox atlas), is a joke.
I don't know about you guys, but for me it's first league where Alch-Vaal&Go feels rewarding.

Most of the loot still comes from altars, but we're actually rewarded for finishing the map fast (more ore piles).
Couldn't agree more. Not a fan of the state of the game and this is yet another league they don't get my money.
