Settler: Cannot rescue or ransom ship

One of my ship got 'caught'.
In the UI:
- I cannot click on rescue as it's grayed out and there is no tooltip.
- I cannot click on Ransom, it just says Insufficient Gold (don't how much is needed tho, I have 17K atm)

I cannot sail the other ship which is expected I guess.
I'd like to not abandon it since my best crew was there.
I'm pretty sure I never clicked on rescue, I didn't have a 'fight' or anything and don't see a portal.

I upgraded the port another tier to see if it unlocked the situation. Nothing changed. Any help is appreciated.

I'm in the same boat. Pun definitely intended.

I currently have 84,000 gold in the treasury with a greyed out ransom button and no idea if I just don't have enough, or if it's just a bug. I would really like to see this issue addressed as well. No boat for me until patched I think, I don't feel like re-recruiting a bunch of high level sailors.

Ah thanks good to know I'm the the only one! To be fair I think Im just gonna abandon to be able to continue using the ship mechanic...

It just seems bugged, when you get over 50k, the red message go away, but ransom stay grey, just lost 3 lvl 10 crew and 3 lvl 9 because of this

Got the same issue. 50k+ in treasury, still insufficient. When take from treasury, button says nothing but stay gray.

Adding to this, the button just stays greyed out regardless of how much gold you have in town. ATM 80k, which already seems a lot for a crew of level 4 sailors and a 40k shipment, still "insufficient gold".

Similar thing just happened to me.

I took the option to rescue the ship. Got teleported to a beach and then I screwed up. As I was walking around I accidentally clicked on the portal I'd arrived through.

It took me back to Kingsmarch. But there is no portal to get back, I can't reactivate the portal by talking to Tujen, and there is no location I could use the waypoint through.

And, naturally, the option to pay the ransom just says "insufficient gold".

So it seems like you only get one attempt to rescue the ship, and if you make a mistake you just have to abandon them.

Please fix the ransom, unable to ship without abandoning another crew!

Same here. Waves push me to whirlwinds and i died. Cant pay ransom.
