Settler: Cannot rescue or ransom ship

Same, the fight is unplayable.

I keep crashing as soon as I enter the area. 12 attempts 8 crashes.

Well the game is broken.

So that's going to be fixed.
But as far as the grayed out 'Rescue' button goes, IDK.
I guess I might have clicked on rescue but didn't see / enter the portal and left the area? If you skip the portal/fight altogether, then there's no way to re-open it to attempt the rescue? That seem wrong.

I have the same problem with kidnapped Atlas Runners. It happend the first time yesterday, lost all my runenrs. Made a reddit thread and got made fun of because surly i clicked sth wrong so i felt embarrassed and deleted it. (shouldve just made a bug report here i guess)

Just now it happened again but the rescue button was not greyed out at first. I clicked it and it became greyed out. Cant ransom, even with 50k in the inventory.

And it happened both times with the map device you unlock first.

Feels bad.

Still broken, nothing you can do except abandon. Ransom option still doesnt show that it requires any amount of gold.

Failed the fight, only one portal, ransom is now also greyed out.
Had to abandon the crew...

When entering the fight the game crashed when loading the area.
Now after the patch, you can see how much gold you need (only if you don't have enough), if you have enough gold the text disappear (kind of strange but whatever). Still the Ransom button is disabled (even if you have the displayed amount of gold).

Makes me wonder, did that button ever worked if you fail the fight / crash?

Experienced same issue

This is still an issue, just had a crash when tried to join fight. After login back in, there is no portal and every option is disabled except 'Abandon'. This bug has been around for ages. Come on, fix it already!
