[3.25] The Lazy Nova - Archmage MoM Crit Ice Nova of Frostbolts with Svalinn
" hello! There is no one "best" version of Mageblood for this build. There are many different combos you could use, and the best is based on how you have constructed your build. The build guide in the first post of this thread includes one of the basic mageblood versions. In general you want to make sure your build is: ailment immune curse immune stun immune all resistances, including chaos, capped Use your mageblood flasks to make sure all of these are covered. If you don't need a flask to cover one of these, then that opens up some opportunity for you to add something else to your build. Last edited by AndyLovesHisBge#5265 on Nov 15, 2024, 4:29:43 PM

Hello!
I really liked this build, I decided to switch from the regular version to the mageblood version. But after the shift, something broke. There is less damage, mana is being spent. Please tell me what is wrong I will change gloves to elem penetrat soon and I want to buy Svallin with 4% spellblock corruption for block cap (flasks fix for immun coming ^_^) https://pobb.in/OGWLKTk9mgFU Last edited by nomoreheroes17#2837 on Nov 16, 2024, 1:39:57 PM

" hello. Here are some comments * The Diamond Flask suffix of ES leech does not help the build. You are already capping ES leech via Light Eater on the tree so the flask suffix is being ignored * Your Mageblood flasks in general are incorrectly/poorly rolled. Your goal is to have Suffixes like Reduced Effect of Curses, Stun Immunity etc be over 100% after the Increased Effects is factored in. * The Rational Doctrine jewel has a similar issue of wasting the ES Leech as a mod * Your Caster Mastery is incorrect. When using the Intensify gem, you want to choose "......+1 to maximum intensity" * You are missing the important Action Speed implicit on your boots * You are missing the important Dynamo and Battle Rouse wheels on the tree Last edited by AndyLovesHisBge#5265 on Nov 16, 2024, 2:37:38 PM

Anything to improve here other than +1 PC helm/bottled faith? After that its big budget items like haunted wands/MB? |

" hello, here are some comments for you: * Your Caster Mastery is incorrect. When using the Intensify gem, you want to choose "......+1 to maximum intensity" * You can start to upgrade your gems to 21/20 and 21/0 where appropriate. See the build guide for gems that benefit from quality and those that do not * Find a jewel that has Corrupted Blood Immunity. That should allow you to drop the life flask * You are missing quality on many gems that help the build * You are missing quality on three of your flasks that will increase their uptime * You have a Fire resistance tattoo that is doing almost nothing for the build (near the templar starting area) * I would remove the Mana Mastery "10% of damage taken recouped as mana" and replace it with the Critical Mastery 25% Crit Multi to Uniques Last edited by AndyLovesHisBge#5265 on Nov 16, 2024, 8:00:01 PM

Andy doesnt even play league anymore and he is still single handedly enabling this build to be played by people too lazy to follow the build guide.

**Updated**
Still resisting the Svalinn build and pushing my dual wield setup. Smashing deli/wisp T17's, but have some issues with T17 rogue exiles/ or pando/terror. They are doable, probably just need to use a stricter Regex. Right now only mods that are a hard brick are No leech No regen I also choose not to run the no damage for 3 seconds or the reduced action speed, as they are both way too annoying with this build. Mod exclusion regex: "!'v|om$|gen|ever" Biggest upgrade I've gotten recently, is a new MB. This was huge, as it allowed me to cap my ele resist without a flask suffix. With my suffix free, I can go back to running reflect ele maps, as well as over-cap crit chance or add movement speed or rarity as desired. Also did a little conflict orbing and upgraded the implicits on boots/gloves. I havent settled on whether I am going to keep either of those pieces, so they arent double top-tier. Awakened Spell Echo. I know it's not a big upgrade for the build, but the cost was on par or cheaper than any other upgrade at this point. Added ~1mil dps in pob @full tilt while focused, maybe a little less. Future plans: Still working on self-corrupting a better helm and ring. Helm Goal: +1 PC / Lightning Leech (cold leech, max life, max es all acceptable) Ring Goal: % Wrath / Ele resist (rarity, no bleed, no poison also acceptable) “Freedom is what we do with what is done to us.” Last edited by Piousqd#0073 on Nov 19, 2024, 10:42:08 AM

" Question/Advice: 1. What do you think about using dex/str bases instead of dex/int? Unless I'm missing something, Archmage doesn't scale flat ES very well. We get most of our ES as a % of mana. I haven't made duplicate items on both bases and POB'd it yet, but I am thinking it might be worth the extra armor. 2. Speaking of POB, my numbers changed drastically when the last update was released. I went from ~35mil total dps (while fully buffed/focused) to ~25mil with same configuration. Any ideas? 3. Considering dropping my "10% of damage taken recouped as mana" mana mastery, what single point do think I should put it in? Going to drop it and see how mana feels without it, and if everything still feels ok, stick it on a +30 dex node and craft new boots/chest using T1 bases. “Freedom is what we do with what is done to us.” Last edited by Piousqd#0073 on Nov 19, 2024, 10:49:36 AM

" 1) This is a build variant question. I have strongly recommended in the thread that people should be avoiding Dex bases outside of the absolute bare minimum needed because it has anti synergy with our shield but seeing that you are dual wand, I assume you can benefit from the evasion. I am not too big a fan of a small amount of armor, but if you think that armor would give you more survivability than a small amount of ES, it would be worth exploring. 2) If you can provide me a before and after POB, I should be able to locate it. The calcs window breaks down all the damage to the nth degree so it should be pretty easy to see where the damage loss came from in the new POB. With out seeing the comparisons, I don't know of anything off hand that recently changed in POB that would cause this loss of calculated DPS. Just to make sure, did your original POB have Pinnacle boss defined as the newly updated POB makes that the default setting now. 3) I dropped "10% of damage taken recouped as mana" very early. It had absolutely zero effect on my build. I can't specifically say what it would do for your version. If you drop the node you could also consider grabbing "20% reduced damage from crit", this may help with one shots in case that is an issue, or finish the Dynamo wheel. " Thanks for taking the time! 1. I guess I might benefit slightly more from evasion than the block setup, but I have so little that its basically pointless (4% chance to evade). I use dex bases because I run 100% spell suppression. Yea I have a feeling there isnt too much of a different, but I'll pob it sometime soon and let ya know. 2. Unfortunately I dont have a before pob that is anywhere near up to date. But I did read the updates notes and saw they changed the default combat opponent to pinnacle boss, so that may be it. 3. Yea, I'm not sure how useful it is for me, I havent played without it since I was leveling. I imagine its less useful for you since you dont gain any mana back from blocked attacks, so that makes sense you'd drop it early. I'm currently 100% crit dmg reduc, with tattoos making up 20% (-40 str). Could swap to crit mastery to free up 40 str, but would have to re-tat if I wanted to swap back. Currently str is solved, but not in the most ideal way. Using a jewel to meet str/dex and resist cap. Not a huge fan of giving up 2 affixes, but I managed to fit em onto 1 jewel with 2 other good affixes (+10% mana, +18% crit multi while dual wielding), so it works for now. Prob just grab a mana nodeI guess. “Freedom is what we do with what is done to us.” Last edited by Piousqd#0073 on Nov 19, 2024, 2:32:47 PM
