Why do I need almost 100k dust to make it worthwhile?
" Actually this is wrong. It's a direct addifier up to the shipment value, but beyond that it will add less. 200k + 100k dust gives 300k 200k + 200k dust gives 400k 200k + 300k dust gives maybe 435k (I don't know exact calculation)
" " [Removed by Support] You can't even imagine i guess that not even all players currenty have fully upgraded Disenchant Lab and KM at all? If dude making 100k dust/day - he's 100% don't have uniques Disenchant Lab yet. Im watching a twitch streamer, who's around 170-180 hours in current league - and he's Disenchant Lab - like lvl 5 or 6, and he's only recently fully upgraded Farm plots/Tavern/Mine. Please stop arguing and giving advices for other players on forum - like everyone of them are fcking EmpyrianGaming style gamers, with fully builded town at day 5 of the league, you just looking silly by doing so. I have a blast this league - in first 2x weeks, but playing less after the recent patch that killed shipping, totally played like 245 hours or so yet, and even I don't have a fully builded KM yet - Docks, Smelters, Mappers, RuneSmith - not finished yet. All I want to say from my experience is that I am so freaking fed up with the casual players getting bend over every single time they manage to sqeeze a divine orb here and there.... I was easily making a few devines through the shipping before the changes now I can BARELY get a few chaos orbs to the point where it isn't even worth it shipping because of all the time I have to invest into this now USELESS mechanic! EVERYTHING got nerfed to the freaking ground for me! I can't stop laughing at the patch notes which state 'DEEERP!!!!! Its like before guys! There is no difference!!!!' When I see the total opposite results over here! And NO! I don't care that someone was making 20 mirror orbs per hour because guess what?! That dude is still going to make 20 mirror orbs now while me the casual player can't make ANY currency worth a while now thanks to the 'great' changes which totally 'don't' change anything..... freaking GGG with their endless nerfs!
As FreshMeat93 said I am also very fed up with all the elites saying 'just diss uniques bro!' bro... not everyone has 10000000 hours to invest into upgrading everything in the game... [Removed by Support] Ohh and no all the 'guides' online are total BS I mean the amount of videos out there showing how they send 30 k veggies and getting devine orbs + in return is laughable at this point. You must think I grind PoE 10 hours a day. I hardly play more than 2 hours as I'm busy with IRL stuff and somehow I still don't struggle with the stuff you mention. By using derogatory language like that you just make my case for me, as you'd rather shout at another person than admit to a skill issue.
I just run ships with 555 of each crop and like 10k dust (because duh, I can afford to) and I still get divines, sustaining gold running Heist despite not running any maps because duh, I think about my approach to what I do. The opposite of knowledge is not illiteracy, but the illusion of knowledge.

Hilarious rewards. As always - after patch. 1x Div and 2c tattoes, and small stuff - joke for 3.300.000 ship. Last edited by FreshMeat93 on Aug 17, 2024, 9:29:27 AM

I must say it feels good not grinding gold, not grinding dust, and not clicking and grinding ore nodes.
If the devs wanted to turn SOK into another standard league, congratulations, because that's how I play it now.
I don't read to much into "shipment value", and have no idea what that number actually mean other than up'ing the risk levels. I'm sure there are people in here overly convinced they know exactly what shipment value is.
Anyhow, I'm personally noticing better rewards after the patch, and I'm getting at least one divine every other shipment of more than 500k. And a shipment of 500k-2mill isn't that hard to do, and does't take that long to arrange, so the people expecting mirrors are probably in need of some expectation management. Sometimes, just sometimes, you should really consider adapting to the world, instead of demanding that the world adapts to you.

Ive got multiple divines a day from small shipments and posted screens regularly. Easily 4-5 a day and multiple time runes which are 120-140c each.
500x5 each crop and matching dust 1:1. Its def got RNG but so does everything in this game, and Ive done this for... the entire league so far. The mechanic just spits out currency. 100k dust is nothing, and if you are struggling with that much dust, then you need to tune your expectations down with where you are progression wise. It sounds like you arent even in .... honestly yellow maps at that point. I do want to get into testing larger ones so ill need to stop sending stuff. Seems promising. Its funny to me that this passive currency that people dont have to worry about is somehow the end of the world if it isnt the best thing ever. You literally are doing other things and getting free stuff. This is why we cant have nice things. Mash the clean

100k dust is a full days run of the disenchanting lab if you don't have the unique disenchant unlocked and/or a full set of lvl 10 workers, which you get at the end of the tree. I focused on maxing other parts first and now I'm gated on generating enough dust now to generate more in the future because even with lvl 8 workers I get like 15 to 20k dust an hour throwing it 6 mod i85 gear and I need 100k+ dust for each level. The fact that the value of dust cratered to the point where you need to have disenchanting maxed for it to be worthwhile is obnoxious. The typical "this is a buff" 'stealth' nerf of everyone to weaken the top end is incredibly frustrating and continues GGG's tradition of shitting on everyone except the top .001%. They could have just nerfed it to not print mirrors and left everyone else in decent shape but that's the approach that they never take.
