Just recently I couldn't finish my Harvest, because with 99% physical damage (weapon has some cold damage because it happens to be rolled that way) and a rare that has resistance to physical damage, creates consecrated ground and does not move a lot my bleeds did not do much to it.
So there we were, attacking each other and neither could do the other any harm.

Easily solved by restricting some mods to spawn together on the same monster. Resistant monsters can be rough in the early game, until your built starts taking shape. Restricting resistant monster to also spawn Soul Eater, regen or other similar stats would help a lot.

But PoE is also a game that lets you scale the content more or less indefinitely. How should the game tell you that you are trying to bite off more than you can chew? When a player chooses to run a map with consecrated ground, higher monster resistance, enfeeble, less damage from crits and so on, they should probably expect some... Resistance/hurdles to overcome. Meeting a monster that you cannot kill can "teach" you to roll your map differently next time.

Had I rolled that map with these mods, sure.
But the monster itself had physical resistant and creates consecrated ground as a mod. Nothing I could do about it.
I never roll hard maps, I'm too bad a player.

Yeah the boss on a tier 5 or lower map only rolled to a couple easy magic mods spawnimg with 2-3 nemesis mods is a bit much. Couple that with rares in maps below level 10 scoured so no map pods spawning with 5 mods like caustic, extra Phys, Corrupt, Extra Aoe. Is that really necessary?

I got a lock drop in my campaign. It set me up for the league but i don't have fun anymore. I reroll and reroll but every char needs the same layers of defense to even function. It's just too convoluted.

you had a hinekora's lock drop in the campaign?
Skill issue
Yes I am starting to believe that also. I have gone old.
I did level to 100 in maps with harvest, didn't buy anything but crafted. I liked it so much I even bought support pack, I have never felt buyers remorse like that in my life.

There are multiple ways to deal with such a boss.

Getting more damage is the most obvious one. If you can't for whatever reason you can use "Frost Bomb" to reduce the enemies regen by 75% or get a mark mastery "Marked Enemies cannot Regenerate Life".
The onky saving grace to this league is the currency exchange. It also highhlights that they need to do something similar for items. Out side of the poor drop rates because they did not balance properly. There is still an obvious issue with price fixing and market manipulation. A not insignificant portion of that is very very likely driven by RMT. Remove the RMT with a buy it now buton And 100 anonymous trade via Faustus the Fence. And that unnatural pressure motivated by IRL $$$ mostly goes away, and a significant amount of ability to manipulate the market does as well. Think of it this way. Would pepsi be allowed to manipulate the soda market in such a way? Then why is it tolerated in online games with trade?
Well, I have 1600 hours, I've never had a Mageblood or Headhunter drop, not even a Divination Card for those (even though I spend 80% of my time in maps where those supposedly drop) and I've never had a Kalandra Mirror or shard drop either.

So welcome to the club, I guess.
