From what we've seen so far, do you feel you're going to stay with PoE1 or move to PoE2?

before EA - my idea was i will try this game, then "uninvest" myself from it and return to settlers, and not return until its done.

first week of EA - this game is real good, reminds me of d2 a huge lot. but a lot of rough edges

currently - ggg is putting a lot of effort polishing it. i currently have zero interest in poe1.

on a sidenote. both games are good. ones a sportscar while anothers is a dirtbike.

both excel in different areas, but saying one is better than the other is just your bias showing. its not an apple to apple comparison

I hope GGG does what they promised and support POE1. IMO POE2 is not for me, did not want to play ruthless in PoE1. I actually wish they would of spent more time keeping POE1 updated. I really do not like the way POE2 plays, and thinks it is far inferior to POE1.
As a player who has enjoyed POE1 since 2013 the rollout of POE2 is no surprise at all. GGG is pretty consistent in how they think and do things. If anyone was surprised by POE2 early access you were not paying attention all of these years or are new. They always over tune things initially, they release content unfinished and clean it up.

Anyway, I still very much enjoy POE1 and overall it is way way way better than it ever was. I will keep playing POE1, switch to POE2 or do both when it is appropriate. Am I happy with Settlers being so lengthy? Absolutely not, but it is what it is. Deal with it.
I will do both. Each game is great in it's own right.
poe 1 looks way better so far

my opinion is subject to change if ggg at least tries to balance poe 2
"buff grenades"

- Buff Grenades (Buff-Grenades)
I really loved the compain of POE2, even though it does need some ballancing. The endgame however is just not fun at all. I never felt like running arround like a headless chicken in POE 1 endgame, but I do feel that way in POE 2.

POE 1 had progression and upgrades for every level(by either crafting, finding good rares, getting good uniques or trading for them). The only upgrade I can get now is worth multiple devines.

I have tried juicing some maps, which takes allot of time with towers, then just dying to some random one shot and losing the map I was building. Its just not fun at all losing it all and not having at least 6 portals trying to complete the map and gaining some currency(risk vs reward).

I would like to stay with POE 1 for now but the league is kinda dead. So I hope they release a new league in POE 1, and still keep updating POE 2.
PoE 2 is not for me. Too much resistance in everything you do. And PoE in general is a huge game. It's amazing how much marketing does to the average consumer. They are told PoE 2 is easier, when it's harder than PoE 1.

I'm going to stick with the game I put a ton of time and money into, which is PoE 1. But I won't spend another penny until we get a good PoE 1 league and confirmation that the support for it is continueing.
Some say Diablo players hijacked POE !?

I believe there is a lot of truth in this.
Don't be angry, developers make games for money, not for someone's pretty eyes.

But some irony does not give peace..... POE 2 was built on the "bones" of POE players for the last 13 years.

And that's why it's sad to see now, how a bunch of POE veterans on these forums post and ask "what will happen to POE1 ?"
And there is no answer.

I'm not against POE 2.
Progress is obvious, especially in terms of graphics, boss design, world design...etc.

But, I think the game needs time, a lot of time to "get under the skin" of the players like POE 1 did.
I'll probably check out a new POE1 league if it looks interesting, but I think I'll find it hard to go back and forth between games with how different certain things are, like movement for example. I'll probably stick with POE2 for the most part.
poe1 for sure

beside visuals, poe2 is not even close
