POE2 and Razor Tartarus Pro compatibility ?

I was quite surprised to find that the 8 way switch isn't picked up as a controller.. it certainly should. WASD is too rough and I keep getting stuck in tight places when I shouldn't.

Please add support for the Razer Tartarus!
did you try the tartarus pro ? ITS NOT an analog stick it's like I mentioned an 8 way stick. I mean it cant be any worse than wasd.
Tartarus pro 8way movement stick sadly not working yet. you can only move 4 directional, not the 8 wasd gamyplay allows you to use
oh boy yeh, i´d really like that too, somehow all the usual "buttons" get recognised from the game.
sadly not the sicht, wich does "mimic" the arrow keys of my keyboard.
however, my actual keyboard is able to use the arrow keys, sadly the tartarus pro is not recognised (only the "arrow" key stick)
:(
i´d LOVE to play it with this gamepad!

well, not 100% correct, you can use the "8-way" option in the software "razer synapse" sadly PoE2 does not recognise the "arrow key" input from the stick :(
if it would, i could jsut go into settings, switch WASD for the arrow keys and it would work.
easy as that

I just actually noticed that the thumbstick isnt actualy analog but a 8 way stick. That means it should be easy to program this stick onto wasd. Then you can bind dodge roll onto one of your mouse keys because you cant use the thumb to do that. Looks pretty good, I wonder if @Kruppe has tried it already?

sadly razer synaps does not allow me to rebind the stick...
or atleast iam to dumb to find thes setting...
so, i actually got it to work.
go into settings from your razer synaps, select your razer tartarus or tartarus pro.
select the "joystick up" by clicking on it - select "keyboard funcion" then select "navigation" and the "arrow" key "up"
repeat this for all directions.
change the WASD for the arrow keys in the settings from PoE 2

now you can 8 bit move with the "arrow keys"

rebind the spell buttons for as you like them and done :D

works fine now for me

Hey all! Quick update on what I've found with the Tartarus Pro, you are able to map all the key binds and the 8-way stick, but unfortunately PoE2 Options don't let you us 2 different bindings for each direction movements(i.e.: you cannot bind left and left+Ctrl to the left movement option, which is how I get full 8-way in other games), therefore it only allows you to use the arrow keys to move in 4 directions regardless of the bindings you've set in synapse. So for now, the joystick isn't working in PoE2 as of yet, but the rest of the keys are working fine. Hope this helps!

This video helped me a lot in the set up if you're feeling lost: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q65WQcgBs8U
Do we have a sure fire answer yet? I keeping hearing there bans for using similar devices but it has an inconstant enforcement. I understand macros are definitely banable.

I saw a layout where the 2nd row was set to Q E R T F and top row to set the other 5 slots. If the first row is a problem, "ctrl + 'spell hotkey'" then I simply noy copy it. So it would be two inputs for the other set of hotkeys.
Im Using a Razor Tatarus and it works, just like allrdy rebind the thumbstick and you good to go. Its Insanely good for games with a movement like in poe2
