Program looks pretty good to me. Not sure it does everything that POB does, but the UI is easier to interact with. I just put in random parameters but there were matches for the top result available on the trade site. There are 10's of thousands of jewels listed on the trade site, so I don't think it is that there is no one playing. The jewels have upwards of 20,000 variants, so there's not always going to be a surplus of every single variant. If there is a list of variants you're getting, and they are not showing up on trade, I would think it is because the variant you are looking for is highly sort after and therefore has become scarce.
If you do some random sampling, you will get a bit of an idea how much results for each gem there are on the trade site. For example, if I put in Brutal restraint/ Asenath and range 2100-2200, I'm getting 191 matches online and 1100 matches total. Indicating the jewels have on average about 2 currently availably listed per variant. If you go along the list you will see not all variants have a listing. Some have more than 2, others have none. I looked across the first 40 variants for currently online. 35 were available, 5 unavailable. This is pretty typical in my experience with looking for the jewels over the last 2 leagues. There's often between 0 and 5 available of the variants I was looking at. I'm not certain, but as far as I know, the seeds for each variant roll with uniform probabilities. So the main factor in what is available is how much each variant is being used. If you are getting a list of 10 variants and only 1 matched jewel on the trade, I can only assume it is because there is more demand for those variants. For example if you are playing a meta build, or using a jewel that is also being used on a meta build, there may be more scarcity of this jewel variant. The only other factor that I can think of here, is people might not be listing jewels variants they have found with a uniform distribution. Maybe they are not trading ones they think may be useful to keep or ones they think are not valuable enough to be worth listing, etc. I think it is more likely that the ones you are looking for are in higher demand. " You can list the full search like I have below, putting URL after you have put in search parameters. Someone might be able to advise if there is a reason that particular variant seems to be scarce. I don't think you are doing the search incorrectly, because it is automatic, and you are getting some results. Someone can replicate your search parameters to verify. For example, the two seeds on the results for search parameters on the URL I have listed are showing 5 and 2 results currently on trade. More complex trade parameters shouldn't effect this, so long as you are finding matching seeds that exist, which doesn't seem to be the problem you are running into. https://vilsol.github.io/timeless-jewels/tree?jewel=3&conqueror=Nasima&location=48768&mode=stats&stat=124 Last edited by Belegur85 on Sep 22, 2024, 5:38:14 PM

Thank you for such an extensive explanation - thank you Yes - I tried to find such jewel which are more common - but they contain less useful nodes in the end build turn out to be weak. I don't have any critical complaints about this system - everything is well done. It's more about psychology Here I looked for jewel - not found then again not found and slowly I begin to think how to make a build without tilmeless jewel but with cluster jewel. I think we should talk about psychology - it takes too long to find the right jewel. Tiring Last edited by Staglaitor_ on Sep 23, 2024, 12:59:48 AM

Yeah you can probably rely on having jewels on your build, but if it needs to be the specific seed for build to work, that might be a bit tougher. Probably have to get the jewel first in that case.
I'm glad someone has made these programs because it's extremely hard to find good jewels with trial and error. Even using spreadsheet, it's 10,000 lines of data. Program saves a lot of time. I will probably use this program next time I'm looking for one, so thanks for pointing it out. |
