Alls good, Its not entirely unrelated to other events so i would be surprised if these things didn't come up at some point, If anyone feels something is relevant then go ahead and mention it.

What I'm talking about would definitely be for everyone with no exclusive game mode presumably including Hardcore/Ruthless/etc, Wherever it is you call home and would want to hang out with other people fighting pumpkin infested rat birds.

You're wrong as it's a event for everyone and the numbers of players who've played it prove that even a lot of SC players did took their share of fun.
The HC part doesn't even matter on such a short lasting event as you don't lose a lot of progress even if you die.
It matters even less for the average players who would play the event casually as they don't end up as competition for racers anyways.

But sure a short ssf HC event could already be quiet threatening for some players who would already struggle heavily with the base game, or run around with pretty mediocre gear two months into a trade league but it's a pretty good training ground to learn simple basics or find ways to improve their character and skill.

It's kinda sad to see how ssf players run around with 17-20k day 3-4 on a ES stacker build while others blindly copy some build and end up sitting on about 14k ES two months into a trade league with a lot of confusion of how their build works and scales.



Alsi for the OP, Poe is the wrong genre for such events and you might be better off to play something like wow, FFXIV, lost ark or throne of liberty if you want season events and somethings more community focused.

We'll just have to disagree I suppose, This game was designed for multiplayer at its core and you can see it in so many elements of the games design.

Side Note, The problem with the hardcore events isn't that they are in hardcore it is that the playerbase in general is not invested in hardcore at any level outside of those who play hardcore or watch streamers who play it.

If you want to resolve or at least lessen this then increase engagement with hardcore by giving players who would not normally try it a good reason to do so, For example if you were to run hardcore events at the start of the league in addition to making it that hardcore-challenge-league players transfer to standard-challenge-league upon death you would see a lot more hardcore engagement and people staying with it compared to our current meta.

I'm not gonna comment further on this here, It deserves its own topic and i would absolutely love to brainstorm on solutions that everyone can be happy with.

There was never truly a time with the game having multiplayer in main objective.
It has always been on the lacking end as it's simply too clunky in PoE. It works fine for the few aspects you can use it on but that's about it.

You can already hang out with friends or other exiles in towns or your hideout, but having some sort of global hub are for seasonal events simply wouldn't work.
The average Joe with a weaker rig already struggles to play the game on their system. How would that turn out if you put 20,50 or who knows at how many players it stops exiles in one place and potentially even let them freely use their abilities?

The game is just not really designed for group stuff.

It has as the event or really any ssf event showcases that they can help players to go all over their safety bubble for some improvements at places where's needed at most. Practice is always the best teacher.

Someone? I'm talking about the player base in general, and making a short summary of what the event showcased is not a insult.

Where is the 20,50 people part coming from O-o, I'm not sure why you might think GGG would do that but what i had in mind was just people completing these objectives in normal party's of 6 at most.

Id also like to note that i wouldn't want it to be exclusive to grouping up with people, some people do prefer to do their own thing.

Now if we are talking about larger scale player participation this could be remedied by making normal skills not work within the event area and giving players event-themed and balanced skills for whatever purpose additionally players could easily be transformed into things that do not have cosmetics and as such we could probably have those large scale interactions if they decided to do so not that i was considering it but i thank you for the comment as it lead to this thought.

What? The very fact that it's in hc ssf makes it not for everyone. As someone else mentioned already, there are many players who never want to touch hc, and even some who don't want to play in ssf because they don't wanna spend hours grinding for something instead of just trading for it. Good luck getting any character running at all when you can't trade in an event that's only like a week lol


And you lose hours of progress when you die, that's the whole reason people don't wanna play hc.


Anyway I agree with OP, some kind of events really ANY kind would be good for the community right now. The gauntlet is way too niche and doesn't count, many players are in a content drought because of the 4-month league cycle. I don't care if the event is endless ledge for a mystery box, I'd still play it. They could just do stuff like endless Sanctum too, that hasn't been done before.

Or completely new ideas for seasons/holidays could be fun too. Like for october a halloween-themed event near the end of a current league.
