in PoE 1 they limited the aspect to 21:9 to prevent extra server entity computation that very ultra-widescreen aspect ratios can cause. I believe this means it has black bars beyond the supported aspect, which as you might imagine looks pretty awful.
There is also the issue of UI positioning with ultrawide displays, so people are naturally interested in knowing if GGG are going to allow super ultrawide aspects in the sequel, and whether there's support for this in the hud elements etc.
It's amazing how many times these arguments have been debunked, yet still keep coming back.
If any of it was true, the freely available fix wouldn't allow 32:9 again permanently without any of these "issues" - just as there were no issues for years when the game supported it.
But it does.

I trust GGG knows better than some armchair devs on the forums. Besides, did you just openly admit using third party client "fixes" that are against the ToS? Very interesting.

ultrawide support in poe2 is fine. i play on a 34 inch 3440x1440 monitor. no issue whatsoever. there is an option to center the UI if you like, which I use and enjoy

Bump, i need to know that as well. Please give us that crucial information, in my case it's for 32:9.
Thanks
This is cheating.
And at this point I am absolutely sure that big portion of the people asking for this, are playing the "I'm dumb" card.
It is very hard to implement "wide screen" without actually give people "wide view range".
And there is a reason why you cannot use unlimited zoom in this game.
But I am sure you already knows this...

Will POE 2 support ultrawide resolutions (21:9 or even 32:9) and have the current widescreen settings for the UI ? . Thanks
No. Move along now...
