i wouldn't be surprised if they pull back their steam support for poe1 (don't know about poe2).
many of the tech steam has is incompatible with poe's basic design on pc. like couch coop play, remote play, mtx selling .... eventually they simply just put the standalone client on that platform to be installed with the steam installer and no other jazz supported. it doesn't make sense to support a platform you don't fully support, doesn't it. and the questions asked here don't really make the game shine in a modern way. age and treachery will triumph over youth and skill!
