POE2: Currency looks bad

Currency in POE1 was vibrant when u looked at it u could tell them apart but in POE2 all the currency that i saw on the reveal just seems like a big bloob i could not tell what i was looking at

For example when they applied multiple essence i thought they only usses essences but it was mixed with normal currency after some deep look

I would vote for a graphical revamp for the currency items

Maybe bump your Pixel per Inch? At 1440p/27 it looks clean AF
Glasses can do the job too :]

Harsh but not wrong.
Also, a lot of the currency we saw was new ones which might have not got their 3D models just yet or when then game footage was recorded for the live show. The new Exalt model close up is amazing, compared to flat 2d model in PoE 1

Rewatching the reveal i took a SS and scaled up the currency in bigger format they look alright but when i look at then in inventory they lose that nice look especially exalted orb in big format it looks better then POE1 but the normal format it looks bad

To much shading perhaps ?

It's look shit because you have low PPI. Crazy detailed things look like that if you have not have enough pixels to show that, lol.

And you do it actually wrong. If you design high resolution graphic and want make it small, it's not so simple to just resize it and it will look fine.

i prefer how poe1 currency looks; don't think there was any need need to change it. if it's not broken why change it?
From a design standpoint they are top notch.

The problem here probably is you watching it on a YouTube or Twitch video which already has compression on it, thus lower quality of what you see. Even at 4K on YouTube, it still loses some quality compared to if it was rendered in game on your PC instead; simply because of compression, format (mp4) and method of drawing from your GPU for videos.
On top add your type of screen in the mix, what's your resolution, your color range and your settings and specs; same for your GPU.

All these things influence the quality of what your eyes see on the screen.

I can tell even from the 4K YouTube video on my (old) 1080 GPU with a 4K ultrawide (3840x1200 pixels) that it looks amazing; despite the compression. With a better GPU it would for sure even look better.

It's like 2% of impact at the subject. 2D design versus 3D. 2D always will be more readable. It is what it is.

its not 2%. YT or any other stream does not stream at datarates even remotely close to true HD, not to mention UHD. the gimmic is that they are showin you resolution and not the datarate, some countries don't do that, you get the actual video quality indication with bitrate. the bitrate for 2k on YT is barely cutting it for 720p if encoded properly, and don't even let me started on the '60fps' bs

I have PC you know and Internet. I can boot game, watch YouTube or Twitch, compare. Thanks for the lesson lol(Btw. I said "At the subject(icons), and you talk about 60fps xDDDD)
